According to the Resolution of the People's Council of Ba Ria-Vung Tau province, by 2030, the average housing area of the whole province is expected to reach 35.5 m2 of floor space/person. Of which, the urban area will reach 35.1 m2 and the rural area will reach 36.7 m2. The minimum housing area of the whole province will also be raised to 10 m2/person.

The province aims to completely eliminate temporary housing in urban areas, increase the rate of permanent and semi-permanent housing to nearly 100%, and strive for 92% of housing to be synchronously connected to technical infrastructure, such as electricity, water supply and drainage, and transportation.

Developing 109,000 houses with a total floor area of over 22 million m2, of which the commercial housing segment is about 86,600 units, social housing is over 14,400 units and over 1,000 resettlement houses.

The total capital demand to implement the housing development program in this phase is estimated at about 209,000 billion VND.

Of which, commercial housing will be invested by enterprises and credit institutions. Social housing will mainly be mobilized from non-budgetary capital sources through socialization policies; resettlement and public housing will use the State budget.

The total land area for housing development in this period is about 139 hectares, most of which is allocated for social housing projects.

The People's Council of Ba Ria-Vung Tau province assigned the Provincial People's Committee to implement the resolution, remove difficulties in investment procedures, land and planning, and promote administrative reforms to create favorable conditions for people and businesses to access housing.

Also at the 30th session, the People's Council of Ba Ria-Vung Tau province approved a number of submissions and draft resolutions, including: Adjusting the Medium-term Public Investment Plan for the period 2021-2025 with provincial budget capital; adjusting the Public Investment Plan for 2025 with provincial budget capital; supplementing the list of projects that must change the purpose of land use with rice fields, protective forest land, and special-use forest land according to the planning in Ba Ria-Vung Tau province to implement projects;...

Speaking at the closing session, Mr. Pham Viet Thanh, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province, requested the Provincial People's Committee, all levels, sectors and localities to have specific plans to implement the tasks, regularly check and closely follow the set progress to complete the assigned targets in 2025.

Effectively implement Resolution No. 68-NQ/TW of the Politburo on private economic development; deploy solutions to promote disbursement of public investment capital in 2025, ensuring 100% completion of the plan.

Focus on completing the arrangement of staff, headquarters, facilities and working conditions of new commune-level agencies before June 10, 2025; focus on preparing conditions to implement the transfer of functions and tasks from the district level to the commune level after the merger immediately after the legal documents take effect from July 1, 2025. Ensure working conditions of provincial and commune-level agencies after the merger, do not interrupt work, do not leave vacant areas and fields, do not affect the normal operations of agencies, organizations, businesses and people.
