Ngoan Muc Pass temporarily closed due to 10 landslides

On the morning of November 17, the Road Traffic Police Team No. 1/27 - Traffic Police Department of Khanh Hoa Province Police said that on Ngoan Muc Pass, in Lam Son Commune (bordering Khanh Hoa - Lam Dong), 10 large and small landslides appeared, causing rocks and soil to spill onto the road surface, posing a potential safety risk to people and vehicles.

Traffic Police Team No. 1/27 set up a checkpoint, temporarily blocked vehicles going up the pass, and guided them to safer routes.

Currently, the Road Traffic Police Team No. 1/27 in coordination with the Traffic Police Department of Lam Dong Province has set up checkpoints, temporarily blocking vehicles at both ends of the pass, guiding vehicles to change direction to safer routes. In addition, the road management unit is mobilizing machinery and human resources to clear rocks and soil at 3 landslide points causing traffic jams, and assessing the risk of further landslides. People are advised not to travel through the Ngoan Muc Pass area until further notice.
