Tran Hoang Bao Han

Bao Han is a student specializing in English, with artistic talent. After researching online, Han decided to pursue a scholarship in marketing at the University of Massachusetts.

When determining the criteria for scholarships at American universities, which consider not only academic achievements and IELTS certificates (a standardized test used for admission to American universities), but also extracurricular activities and essays, Han carefully planned how to achieve her goals.

In class, Han focused on listening to lectures, regularly reviewed her studies at home, and actively participated in extracurricular activities. In her spare time, the student from Phu Yen went online to research and study to consolidate her knowledge and prepare for the IELTS exam. By the end of 11th grade, Han easily achieved an IELTS score of 6.5 and completed her essay.

Good news came to Bao Han in early December 2023, when the University of Massachusetts responded via email congratulating her on receiving the scholarship. She immediately shared the news with her parents, and the whole family was overjoyed. Han said that after graduating from high school, she will be going to the US to study this fall.

Hân shared: "America is my dream, a place that can provide me with the best learning, training, and experience environment. But for me, going far away is about exploring , experiencing, growing, and appreciating the journey back home even more. After four years of university, instead of staying in America, I want to bring my knowledge and experiences back to my homeland to contribute to building the country."
