According to the Department of Construction of Hau Giang province, regarding construction planning, the location of the Mekong Urban Resort project with an area of about 1,950 hectares has been updated in the construction planning project of Chau Thanh district, Hau Giang province until 2030, with a vision to 2050 and approved by the Provincial People's Committee in Decision No. 1331 dated August 8, 2023. The list of Mekong Urban Resort projects has been approved in the Hau Giang Provincial Planning for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050. To carry out the work of selecting investors, it is necessary to organize the establishment of a detailed construction planning project at a scale of 1/2000. Because the project boundary is located in Chau Thanh district and part of Phung Hiep district, when organizing the planning project, the approval authority belongs to the Provincial People's Committee and the Department of Construction is the investor organizing the planning. New urban areas proposed by DIC, with an area of >20ha, are located in the Nga Sau Urban Master Plan and Dong Phu Urban Master Plan.
