High school transcript benchmark, IELTS Foreign Trade University

The benchmark score for Foreign Trade University based on the combination of high school transcripts, IELTS certificates or awards is commonly 28 points, the highest is 30 points.

On the evening of June 14, Foreign Trade University announced the benchmark scores for three early admission methods, including considering academic records combined with excellent student awards, international certificates, and using competency assessment scores.

In the admission method combining academic records and national excellent student awards, the maximum score is 34 (including 30 points from three subjects in the group, 4 bonus points if the candidate wins the national first prize). With a similar calculation, the maximum score when considering academic records with provincial excellent student awards is 32. However, this year, the Ministry of Education and Training changed the way of calculating priority points to avoid the situation of the benchmark score exceeding 30, so Foreign Trade University has converted the benchmark score to a scale of 30.

Accordingly, the highest benchmark score in this method is 30 points, applied to the Logistics and Supply Chain Management program, headquartered in Hanoi .

With the method of considering transcripts combined with international certificates, the highest standard score is also 30 points for the advanced program of Foreign Economics in Hanoi. For the remaining majors, the majority have a standard score of 28, a few have a standard score of 25-26.

Similarly, Foreign Trade University converted the capacity assessment test scores of the two National Universities in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City to a scale of 30 (method 5), with a benchmark score from 27.8 to 28.1.

This year, Foreign Trade University will enroll 4,100 students for its three campuses in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City and Quang Ninh, an increase of 50 compared to 4,050 in 2022. In addition to early admission methods, the school will also enroll 839 students based on high school graduation exam scores, and 115 students will be admitted directly according to regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training.

The estimated tuition fee for the 2023-2024 school year for the general program is 25 million VND, the high-quality program, career orientation and international development is 45 million VND per year, both increasing by 5 million VND compared to the current level. For the advanced program, the estimated tuition fee is 70 million VND per year, increasing by 10 million VND; while the Hotel Management, Digital Marketing, Digital Business, Integrated Marketing Communications programs remain at 60 million VND.

Last year, the highest standard score from the graduation exam of Foreign Trade University was 28.4 with the combination A00 (Math, Physics, Chemistry) in the Economics and International Economics groups at the Hanoi headquarters.

English, French, Chinese, and Japanese majors are admitted using the D01 combination (Math, Literature, English) with scores from 35 to 36.6 on a scale of 40, with English multiplied by a factor of two. The standard score for admission to these majors using other combinations is 1 point lower.
