The Department of Education and Training of Phu Quoc City confirmed that the principal of Duong Dong Kindergarten has just reported the case of Ms. D., a teacher of class 5, suspected of beating Ms. T., the vice principal of the same school, causing a stir in public opinion.

On the afternoon of May 27, Mr. Do Van Tuan - Head of the Departmentof Education and Training of Phu Quoc City - said that he had received a report from Duong Dong Kindergarten (Duong Dong Ward) about the case of Ms. D. - teaching class 5 - suspected of beating Ms. T. - the vice principal of the same school - on May 24.

According to the school's report, the teachers at the school said that Ms. D. did not hit Ms. T. - the vice principal.

The unit is waiting for Duong Dong Ward Police to investigate, meet with relevant parties, and review the camera in the meeting room above to have a clear conclusion about the incident.

Only then will the local authorities and relevant units have sufficient grounds to handle the matter objectively, without covering up, and to strictly punish the violators because this incident affects the reputation of the education sector in Phu Quoc.

"The incident has happened, I have sent a complaint to the police and they are investigating. I believe the law will clarify the case. My wife's stomach still hurts a lot," Mr. N. (Ms. T.'s husband) shared with a reporter from Tuoi Tre newspaper.

Previously, Tuoi Tre Online reported that Ms. NTBT - Vice Principal of Duong Dong Kindergarten - said that on May 24, Duong Dong Kindergarten held a meeting to evaluate staff at the end of the 2024-2025 school year.

During the evaluation period, the school raised the issue of the teacher beating the child (this incident was posted on social networks, causing public outrage in March 2025).

At that time, a teacher claimed that Ms. T. was the one who reported and posted the clip online about the incident. While talking back and forth, Ms. LTKD (a teacher of class 5) ran over and used her hand to hit Ms. T.'s head 3 to 4 times.
