Launched in 2023, in addition to searching for good voices that can become professional singers, the Global Vietnamese Singing Contest is also for those who love to sing to exchange, learn and shine on stage in their own way. This is the third time the contest has been held.
Global is more than just geography
According to the organizers, the new point of this year's contest is that it does not exploit contestants from Europe like the previous two seasons, but focuses entirely on Vietnam.

The award-winning contestants have the opportunity to gain practical experience through European tours and performances for overseas Vietnamese to develop their abilities.
Why does the name of the competition have the word "global" but the scale and scope of the event is focused on Vietnam?
Mr. Henry Nguyen - head of the contest's organizing committee - said "focusing on organizing in Vietnam this year is a strategic step to develop the contest in depth, creating a stronger spread in the country, and at the same time creating a foundation for expanding globally in the next season".
He added that in fact, although this year's contestants are mainly from Vietnam, the global spirit is still maintained through the participation of the judges and the overseas Vietnamese community watching.
"Global is not only about geography, but also about connected thinking, spirit and the way of spreading values," he said.
The organizing committee informed that this year, in addition to the singing competition, the organizing committee also carried out a series of activities such as exchanges with overseas artists... to help contestants understand more deeply and better express the national cultural identity.
In addition, global audiences can still follow, interact and vote for contestants through the online system - maintaining the spirit of exchange and connection.
The 2025 Global Vietnamese Singing Contest is open to all Vietnamese citizens aged 16 to 60, going through 4 rounds: preliminary, semi-final, final and final ranking.
The final ranking night with 20 excellent voices is scheduled to be held on October 18 at the Vietnam-Soviet Friendship Labor Cultural Palace ( Hanoi ).
The jury includes musician Luu Thien Huong (head of the jury), singers Y Lan, Manh Dinh, Ngoc Anh, Sy Luan, Giang Hong Ngoc and pipa artist Vu Dieu Thao.
