Thach Thanh Electricity staff coordinated with businesses in the district to disseminate and guide workers to participate in automatic electricity bill deduction.

Paying electricity bills via automatic debit is one of the payment methods that brings many outstanding benefits such as saving time, eliminating the risk of late payment, and minimizing errors in the transaction process. Therefore, over the past years, Thanh Hoa Electricity Company has closely coordinated with banks in the province to implement electricity bill payment in this form.

In Thach Thanh, as of March 2025, 100% of customers paid their electricity bills without cash, of which 1,545 customers registered to use the automatic debit payment method. Most of the customers registering for this service are new customers or contract renewal customers. However, this rate is still low due to many reasons such as: many people still maintain the habit of paying electricity bills directly in cash at collection points or through electricity bill collectors; some customers, although having registered for automatic debit, do not regularly maintain the available balance in their accounts, making transactions impossible. In addition, customers in mountainous, remote, and sparsely populated areas, with low educational levels and little use of banking services, make implementation difficult. Concerns about high-tech scams also make some customers wary and reluctant to register for automatic payments.

Faced with the above situation, Thach Thanh Electricity proactively coordinated with authorities at all levels to issue directives to all administrative and public service agencies in the area, encouraging cadres, civil servants and public employees to make automatic electricity bill payments. Coordinated with socio-political organizations such as the Women's Union, Youth Union, and Farmers' Association to promote the benefits of this payment method.

The unit has assigned specialized staff to work directly with the accounting departments of enterprises and production and business establishments with a large number of employees to guide and support automatic debt payment registration; organize propaganda and direct consultation sessions right at the workplace of employees, helping them understand the convenience of this form.

Thach Thanh Electricity has also cooperated closely with banks in the district to simplify the procedures for opening accounts and registering for automatic debit services. Set up consulting points at village cultural houses, markets and residential areas to support people in registering for services. Provide a variety of payment options such as via banking applications, e-wallets, QR Codes to meet the needs of many different customer groups.

Thach Thanh Electricity workers actively promote and guide customers to use utility services of the electricity industry, including the utility of paying electricity bills without cash by automatic debit.

To promote communication and raise public awareness, Thach Thanh Power Company actively posts news and articles about the benefits of automatic debt collection on digital platforms, broadcasts propaganda columns on the district's radio and television station, and develops instructional documents and illustrative videos to help people easily register for the service. The unit also simplifies registration procedures, deploys online support to save time for customers, and establishes a call center consulting team to promptly answer questions and improve service experience.

Promoting automatic debt collection not only helps improve service quality but also contributes to modernizing the electricity industry, optimizing the fee collection process, reducing pressure on the electricity bill collection department and improving financial management efficiency.

According to the plan, Thach Thanh Power Company will strive to increase the rate of automatic debt collection customers, ensuring the completion of the target assigned by Thanh Hoa Power Company in 2025 and the following years.

With determination and synchronous implementation of proposed solutions, Thach Thanh Electricity is gradually promoting electricity bill payment through automatic debit, thereby contributing to the completion of the goal of comprehensive digitalization in business and customer service of the unit in particular and the entire electricity industry in general.
