On the evening of May 16, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Cao Bang province organized a program to announce the cross-border tourist route from Cao Bang city (Vietnam) to Baise city (Guangxi, China).
Speaking at the announcement ceremony, Mr. Sam Viet An, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of the province, said that Cao Bang is a land favored by nature with many beautiful landscapes.
Non Nuoc Cao Bang Geopark has been recognized by UNESCO as a Global Geopark, with geological, geomorphological, and historical values imbued with cultural identity.
The coexistence of many ethnic groups on one land has created a colorful cultural picture for Cao Bang, enriching the heritage treasure of Vietnam and humanity.
In recent years, border tourism has been developed by the province and achieved many outstanding results.
On October 15, 2024, the Ban Gioc Waterfall Scenic Area (Vietnam) - Detian (China) was officially put into operation after more than a year of piloting for tourists to pass through.
This is an important milestone in the tourism development cooperation relationship between Vietnam and China.
The two-country-two-region cooperation model is a bright spot, an unprecedented model in cross-border economic cooperation, especially in the tourism sector, aiming to build a model of cross-border tourism and green tourism.
In addition, after the Tra Linh (Vietnam) - Long Bang (China) border gate pair was upgraded to an international border gate (December 2023), the Cao Bang (Vietnam) - Tinh Tay city (Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, China) tourism program has been and is one of the products attracting tourists.
The program to announce the opening of the Cao Bang city-Bach Sac city tourism route and vice versa is an opportunity for both sides to continue developing, diversifying tourism products and increasing the core values of the culture and tourism industry.
This exchange and coordination activity also opens up opportunities for both sides to learn and share experiences in sustainable tourism management and development; discuss tourism marketing strategies, tourism management and environmental protection; maintain cross-border tourism markets and products, contribute to promoting the culture and people of the two countries, and create a unique cross-border tourism brand for both sides.
