Hoang Hoa: Dismantling tents and shops encroaching on Hai Tien beach

Hoang Truong commune authorities mobilized forces to support people in dismantling and clearing tents and stalls on the beach.

A few days before, the People's Committee of Hoang Truong commune had notified organizations, individuals, and households that were illegally setting up tents and stalls on sidewalks, roadsides, sandbanks, and beaches in the Flamingo Linh Truong Eco-tourism and Resort Area to voluntarily dismantle and clear away tents and stalls. After being informed, dozens of tents and stalls operating in the coastal area were proactively dismantled by the people.

On the morning of May 22, local authorities continued to mobilize police, border guards, and security forces at the grassroots level to assist people in dismantling and transporting illegally erected items on the beach. Local authorities mobilized two cranes to transport tents and shacks out of the beach area.

Chairman of the People's Committee of Hoang Truong Commune, Le Thanh Canh, said: "Implementing the direction of the People's Committee of Hoang Hoa District, the People's Committee of the Commune has coordinated with the district's functional departments and the Hoang Truong Border Guard Station to mobilize forces to organize the clearance of tents and stalls on the sand and beach. Up to this point, the tents and stalls have basically been dismantled and reduced, returning the open space of the sand, ensuring the general beauty for tourism activities. After the above time, all activities will be managed by the People's Committee of the Commune to strengthen management measures to prevent re-encroachment of sidewalks and beaches."

It is known that, in the face of the situation of competing to occupy Hai Tien beach for illegal business, the People's Committee of Hoang Hoa district has signed a document to the People's Committee of Hoang Truong commune and related units regarding the clearance of violations of illegal occupation of sidewalks, sandbanks, and beaches belonging to the Flamingo Linh Truong marine eco-tourism and resort project.

The District People's Committee requests relevant units to strengthen propaganda and mobilize people to raise their sense of responsibility, voluntarily comply with not encroaching on sidewalks, sandbanks, and beaches to ensure security, public order, and ensure the beauty of the tourist area. Organize forces to clear out cases of setting up tents on sidewalks, sandbanks, and beaches, to be completed before May 25, 2025, and report to the district before May 27, 2025.

Notably, the People's Committee of Hoang Hoa district assigned the Hoang Truong Commune Police to investigate whether or not some subjects illegally occupied the sidewalks, coastlines, and beaches and assigned them to households to build tents and shops for business purposes to handle according to the provisions of law. Summarize the investigation results and report to the Director of the Provincial Police, Chairman of the People's Committee of the district and Hoang Truong Commune before May 30, 2025.

Hoang Hoa District People's Committee also requested Flamingo Hai Tien Company Limited to be responsible for managing items such as roads, sidewalks, coastlines, and beaches of the Flamingo Linh Truong Marine Ecotourism and Resort Project when they are not yet completed, and hand them over to the locality according to regulations.
