Prepare the best conditions for the procession and worship of Buddha's relics at Truc Lam Yen Tu Palace

Comrade Trinh Thi Minh Thanh, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council delivered a concluding speech at the conference.

Along with Ho Chi Minh City, Tay Ninh Province, Hanoi City, Ha Nam Province and Bac Giang Province, Quang Ninh Province is honored to be the locality to receive the Sakyamuni Buddha Relics - the National Treasure of India to be enshrined and worshiped at Truc Lam Yen Tu Palace from May 25 to May 28, 2025. This is an important and rare event because according to Indian regulations, each country can only receive and enshrine the Buddha Relics once.

According to the plan, the Buddha's relics will be carried from Phuc Son Pagoda (Tan Yen District, Bac Giang Province) to Truc Lam Yen Tu Palace, Uong Bi City. After the procession and enthronement ceremony of the Buddha's relics at Truc Lam Yen Tu Palace, there will be a ceremony to worship the Buddha's relics; a ceremony to pray for national peace and prosperity at Hoa Yen Pagoda; a thanksgiving ceremony and the procession of the Buddha's relics onto the carriage to Chuong Pagoda, Hung Yen City, Hung Yen Province.

The event is expected to attract a large number of Buddhists and people to come and worship. To ensure the event takes place solemnly and absolutely safely, at the conference, relevant departments and branches reported on the preparation work; plans to ensure security and order, traffic safety, fire prevention, food safety and hygiene and coordination between forces to ensure the event takes place successfully.

Concluding the conference, comrade Trinh Thi Minh Thanh, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, emphasized: Quang Ninh province identifies this as an important event with great influence. Therefore, preparations for the procession and worship of Buddha's relics at Truc Lam Yen Tu Palace need to be carried out solemnly and seriously, ensuring absolute security and safety, serving monks, nuns, Buddhists, people and a large number of tourists coming to worship. Thereby, contributing to building the image of Quang Ninh as friendly, hospitable and professional.

Appreciating the initiative in developing plans of the Provincial People's Committee and functional forces, the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee requested the Provincial People's Committee to soon issue a plan and assign tasks to each sector and force to develop detailed plans on facilities, means, forces and specific tasks. In particular, special attention should be paid to plans to ensure security and order and traffic flow, especially adding plans on traffic regulation, arranging points, checkpoints and fire prevention plans. At the same time, it is necessary to develop detailed plans on arranging forces and volunteers at points; food safety and hygiene, environmental sanitation as well as emergency plans, electricity supply and communication to ensure smooth communication.

The Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee also noted that forces, localities and units must grasp the situation and plans to coordinate smoothly, avoid being passive in all situations; strengthen information work, widely disseminate to the people, monks and Buddhists.
