Writer Bui Tuan Minh came to literature very early. In 2006, he published his first book, and now has 5 books printed separately. Experts say that Bui Tuan Minh has a talent for prose and is increasingly making a clear mark. More than half of the works in the short story collection have won literary awards, while the rest have been published in prestigious literary newspapers and magazines.

Some typical works in the book include the short story "Hidden Side", the A prize in the literary writing contest about the Guard force organized by the Vietnam Writers Association in coordination with the Ministry of Public Security in 2023.
The story revolves around a security officer who was sent to the Cambodian battlefield to fight as a sniper. Circumstances forced him to witness the execution of Maily - an Apsara dancer, the daughter of a royal family. The two's escape encountered many uncertainties, being ambushed and pursued by Polpot.
When Cambodia was liberated, Canh returned to his country to perform training duties in the Guard Command. Cambodia's political situation in the early years was complicated, and Canh was assigned to provide security for a politician of the Cambodian revolutionary government.
With absolute loyalty and sharp intuition, Canh overcame the temptations of bribery from dark forces to successfully complete his mission.

Or the short story "Drac Drao Dawn" won the B prize at the literary writing camp organized by the Ministry of Public Security in coordination with the Vietnam Writers Association in 2022 on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the People's Police force.
The work is about an orphaned female police officer whose father is Cambodian and mother is Vietnamese. During a visit to the base, she meets the enemy who murdered her parents. The following details make the story engaging, dramatic, and climaxing. What makes the work memorable is the intricate plot, flexible and unexpected variations. Besides, the writing style is natural and engaging, not falling into propaganda to lose the beauty of literature.
Through each work, the author evokes historical periods of the country, conveying meaningful and humane messages about forgiveness, love of life and people. The short story "Dinh Kinh" - the work that was used as the general title for the book also won the B prize in the writing contest about the Off-line Reconnaissance force, Ministry of Public Security. With intelligent storytelling, tight structure, concise and restrained language, the author has highlighted the noble image of Uncle Ho's soldiers and the People's Public Security soldiers.
In the genre of stories about war and soldiers, Bui Tuan Minh often uses a somewhat classical story structure. The author is especially interested in the hidden corners of human fate behind the war. And therefore, Bui Tuan Minh's short stories are rich in flavor and imbued with humanistic values.

Writer Bui Tuan Minh was born in 1984 in Tuy Lai, My Duc, Hanoi. He is currently working at the People's Police College I, Ministry of Public Security; is a member of the Vietnam Writers Association, member of the Executive Committee of the Public Security Writers Association for the 2025-2030 term.
