Number of customers increased by 40% - 50%%

There are still about 2 weeks left until National Day on September 2, but many hotels in Hanoi have already put up "fully booked" signs. According to data from Agoda, the number of accommodation searches in Hanoi during this time has increased by more than 44 times compared to the same period in 2024. Booking.com also recorded that the capital has risen to the top of the list of domestic destinations most searched by Vietnamese people today.

The accommodation market in Hanoi during the September 2 holiday was bustling in all segments. In the central area, the Old Quarter, Hoan Kiem Lake, and along the routes where the parade is expected to pass, 2-4 star hotels were almost fully booked from the end of August to September 3. The Hanoi Department of Tourism said that the number of guests booking rooms during the holiday increased by 40%-50% compared to the same period last year. 4-5 star hotels in the central area were almost fully booked from the end of August. Homestays in the Old Quarter and small hotels in Long Bien and Tay Ho were also "sold out".

Suburban resorts have seen explosive demand, especially from families combining vacations and celebrations, while the high-end segment has seen a marked increase in bookings. Pan Pacific Hanoi on Thanh Nien Street is currently at 73% occupancy, expected to reach 90%-95% during the holiday; Grand Mercure Hanoi is 60% booked on the night of September 1 and 50% on the night of September 2; Pullman Hanoi is 100% booked from August 30.

Festival tours and combined itineraries attract customers

Not only accommodation, the tour market on September 2nd is also bustling like never before. Travel companies have launched a series of specially designed products. Of which, BenThanh Tourist has nearly 30 tours, notably the "National Concert" journey connecting Hanoi - Ninh Binh - Trang An and Hanoi - Ha Long. Saigontourist introduces "Vietnam Pride Journey"; Viet Tourism offers Hanoi - Ninh Binh tour combined with watching military parades (3 days 2 nights) or Hanoi - Ha Long - Sa Pa - Ninh Binh (5 days 4 nights).

In particular, Hanoitourist operates a tour to visit the bomb shelter under the Sofitel Legend Metropole Hanoi Hotel, along with many night city tours, bicycle tours, and culinary tours, bringing both historical and modern experiences. "We want visitors to feel Hanoi not only in the festive atmosphere, but also through the cultural depth of each street and each construction," said a representative of Hanoitourist.

Muong Thanh Group organized a series of events to celebrate the occasion from August to September 6. The entire system of 63 hotels of the group was decorated with red and yellow stars, mini exhibitions about history and integrated QR codes for guests to listen to the Declaration of Independence. "We want to spread the spirit of patriotism to visitors and employees. This is not just a decoration activity, but also part of the cultural experience," said a representative of Muong Thanh Group.

The Hanoi Department of Tourism has prepared for the “record” holiday with 80 unique tourism products, spread from the inner city to the suburbs, including cultural experiences, craft villages, night tours and art performances. Coordination with the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum Command to serve visitors to the Mausoleum to visit Uncle Ho has also been implemented early with free bread, drinks and milk like previous years, but the number is expected to increase many times. Ms. Dang Huong Giang, Director of the Hanoi Department of Tourism, emphasized: “This is a special historical event, so we aim to not only meet the needs of tourists but also create a deep impression of Hanoi, a cultural, safe and friendly destination”.

Diversified products spread national pride

In Hanoi, many cafes and fashion stores are promoting special products and services to stimulate consumption and spread the spirit of national pride. Many fashion stores have launched the "Patriotic" collection with the design of the red flag with a yellow star, priced from 50,000 to 300,000 VND. The slogans "Independence - Freedom", "Proud of Vietnam" ... are printed on many products such as T-shirts, hats, cloth bags ... With prices from 40,000 to 70,000 VND, scarves are currently the "hottest" product on e-commerce platforms, favored by customers of all ages to coordinate outfits when taking souvenir photos at events.
