On the evening of July 9, at the press conference to launch the MV Tu moi, singer Hong Nhung shared about her journey back after a health incident and the process of implementing a special music project.
Hong Nhung was always considered a positive inspiration by everyone. However, when an incident happened in her life, she realized that it was the love of everyone that became the spiritual support to overcome the most difficult moments.
The female singer admitted that after the health incident, she sang differently because her perception of life and gratitude towards people also changed. Hong Nhung felt like she became small "like a speck of dust".
Hong Nhung talks about the scene from above:
Notably, while filming the MV at the Hanoi Opera House, Hong Nhung performed a scene where she hung from a height of 9m while her health had not fully recovered. At that time, she was still undergoing treatment and taking painkillers to prepare for this dangerous scene. When asked about the height during filming, she learned that she had been lifted up to 9m.
Director Phuong Vu revealed that the scene was written before the crew knew about Hong Nhung’s health condition. When asked if she dared to do this flying scene, the singer agreed even though the wound from the surgery had not fully healed and affected her movement. After this high-hanging scene, Hong Nhung had to return to the hospital to treat the affected surgical wound.
MV "Wondering" by Hong Nhung:
The song Tu Quai has a special origin from the close relationship between Hong Nhung and Lope Pham - whom she affectionately calls "puppy". Lope Pham has been close to Hong Nhung since childhood, his mother - Mrs. Linh Nguyen is humorously described by Hong Nhung as the person who understands her life better than she herself.
According to Hong Nhung at a hotel in Hanoi, Lope Pham brought along a professional speaker and microphone, and even a hair dryer to dry the microphone due to the humid weather. After listening to the demo, Hong Nhung decided to rewrite the lyrics and adjust some of the music to suit her style.

Hong Nhung shared that she specializes in singing ballads with a slow tempo, but the song "Tu moi" requires fast singing "like machine gun fire".
Although she had completed the recording and mastering abroad, after her health incident, Hong Nhung decided to re-record it completely with musician Le Thanh Tam. She explained that she had become a different person and sang with a different mindset, so although it was still the same old song with the same lyrics, it had become a completely new story.
What is special is that the MV Tu moi was made completely free of charge. Hong Nhung affirmed that this is a MV that can be called 0 dong because all members of the crew contributed their efforts voluntarily.
Director Phuong Vu (Antiantiart) said that the MV idea was inspired by the surrealist paintings of artist René Magritte, especially The Lovers. He explained that in Asian culture, many people marry for love, but after a while, when the feelings are no longer there, they still choose to stay in the relationship. This is a strange endurance that he wanted to express through images.
Lope Pham shared that the song was written in 2020 and would have remained on his hard drive forever if it weren't for this collaboration. Trung Tran, who wrote the rap, told of the lightning-fast creative process when Lope Pham called at 11pm, and after just one hour, he finished and sent back the rap.

Hong Nhung explains the meaning of the song title. In today's busy world , when everyone is busy proving themselves and spending a lot of time on social networks, there is rarely a chance to look back at oneself, look into the soul to see the unique vibrations of each individual.
Musician Le Thanh Tam believes that in an era where technology greatly supports recording, Hong Nhung still enjoys every moment in the studio, singing each sentence carefully.
