Press delegation visits Truong Sa: Journey of solidarity, responsibility and affection

The historic May trip to Truong Sa - DK1 Platform is not only an activity to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Revolutionary Journalism with a special journey to the sacred sea and islands of the Fatherland, but also demonstrates the spirit of "all towards the sea and islands" of the team of journalists nationwide.

The delegation was led by journalist Le Quoc Minh, member of the Party Central Committee, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Education Commission, President of the Vietnam Journalists Association , along with journalist Nguyen Duc Loi - Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam Journalists Association and about 100 leaders and reporters from press agencies and journalist associations nationwide to participate in the trip to visit Truong Sa archipelago and DK1 Platform in 2025. Editor-in-Chief of The Gioi and Viet Nam Newspaper Nguyen Truong Son joined the delegation.

Activities during the trip included meeting, giving gifts and encouraging officers, soldiers and people of Truong Sa island district and DK1 platform - those who are persistently staying at the forefront of the wind and waves day and night, preserving the sacred sovereignty of the sea and islands of the Fatherland.

Before departure, on the afternoon of May 22 in Ho Chi Minh City, the Naval Region 2 Command held a conference to disseminate and assign tasks to the working group.

Speaking at the conference, journalist Le Quoc Minh said that, implementing the plan to organize Working Group No. 25 to visit Truong Sa and DK1 Platform in 2025, recently, agencies and units according to their assigned functions and tasks have actively and proactively prepared all aspects for the working trip.

Authorized by the Head of Working Group No. 25, Mr. Le Quoc Minh launched an emulation movement determined to successfully complete the delegation's trip, visit and encourage the army and people of Truong Sa and DK1 Platform in 2025 with the theme: "Solidarity, loyalty, achievements, determination to win".

Party Central Committee member Le Quoc Minh emphasized: “With the heroic spirit of the historic May days and the spirit of turning towards Truong Sa - DK1, each member of the delegation needs to promote their role, responsibility, solidarity, loyalty, make achievements, and be determined to win, contributing to the excellent completion of assigned tasks.”

In particular, on this occasion, the Vietnam Journalists Association and its partners donated 1.7 billion VND to support the Navy in building the CQ-01 boat. In addition, the delegation also donated 15 solar power systems worth 1.68 billion VND along with many practical gifts to the islands and platforms. These gifts are not only of material value but also of great spiritual significance, contributing to further motivating the soldiers on the front lines of the sea and islands.

The voyage is not only an occasion to show gratitude, but also a practical action of journalists - "soldiers on the ideological front" - towards the frontline of the Fatherland. Through this, journalists will have more authentic and emotional material to reflect the life, thoughts and steely spirit of the Truong Sa soldiers and people, while strongly spreading the message of protecting the sacred sovereignty of the sea and islands to the public nationwide and international friends.

The voyage was not only an occasion to show gratitude, but also a practical action of journalists - "soldiers on the ideological front" - towards the front lines of the Fatherland.

The trip is also an opportunity for the press team to strengthen the spirit of solidarity and unity, continue the mission of accompanying the cause of protecting the Fatherland in peacetime, constantly innovate, and promote the power of communication in the digital age.

100 years of Vietnamese Revolutionary Journalism - a century of accompanying the nation. And today, from Truong Sa and DK1 - the living symbols of Vietnam's sovereignty and will - the journey of journalism continues to write golden pages with the hearts and minds of writers of the new era.
