(Dan Tri) - Hoang Anh Gia Lai's subsidiary changes capital allocation plan for mulberry and coffee growing projects.

Hung Thang Loi Gia Lai Co., Ltd. - a subsidiary of Hoang Anh Gia Lai Group (stock code: HAG) - has adjusted the terms of a VND 1,000 billion bond issue to allocate capital to mulberry and coffee plantation projects in Vietnam and Laos.

Specifically, Hung Thang Loi Gia Lai added information to the appendices of the business cooperation contracts between this company and other enterprises belonging to Hoang Anh Gia Lai Group, such as Gia Lai Livestock Company, Lo Pang Livestock Company, Bolaven Sturgeon Seafood Company, and Phu Quy Gia Lai Agriculture Company.

The appendix to the cooperation agreement with these entities has also been updated and amended. Specifically, Gia Lai Livestock Company is cooperating to grow arabica coffee and mulberry trees in Gia Lai province (Vietnam).

Le Pang Livestock Company is implementing a plan to grow Arabica coffee in Gia Lai, Bolaven Sturgeon Company is growing Arabica coffee in Champasak province (Laos), and Phu Quy Gia Lai Agriculture Company is growing mulberry trees in Attapeu province (Laos).

For the 1 trillion VND bonds issued, Hung Thang Loi Gia Lai has adjusted the value of the business cooperation. The total cooperation area remains unchanged at 1,950 hectares, including 1,050 hectares of coffee and 900 hectares of mulberry trees.

However, the investment capital for the coffee project with Lo Pang Livestock increased from 250 billion VND to 277 billion VND, while the cooperation project with Bolaven Sturgeon in Laos decreased from 180 billion VND to 153 billion VND.

Planting mulberry trees and coffee is a completely new plan for Hoang Anh Gia Lai, announced by the company's Chairman Doan Nguyen Duc (Chairman Duc) in June at the annual shareholders' meeting. He said the goal is to plant 4,000 hectares of coffee and 2,000 hectares of mulberry trees for silk production, aiming for export.

Specifically, this year, Hoang Anh Gia Lai will invest in 2,000 hectares of mulberry trees for silk production. This crop has been tested since the end of 2024 and the indicators have been finalized.

Regarding coffee, Mr. Duc said the plan is to plant 2,000 hectares of coffee this year and another 2,000 hectares next year, for a total of 4,000 hectares.
