On September 11, at Kien Hai special zone ( An Giang province), the Command of Coast Guard Region 4 organized the program "Coast Guard accompanies fishermen".
The program is integrated into the implementation of tactical training and live-fire missions at sea in 2025.

The program aims to raise public awareness of sea and island sovereignty , legal regulations on illegal, unreported and unregulated (IUU) fishing; on preventing the harmful effects of drugs and the functions and tasks of the Vietnam Coast Guard; and implement activities on policy and social security in the area.
At the program, the Command of Coast Guard Region 4 organized for fishermen to watch the documentary "Mock Trial" about a criminal case related to IUU, integrating the content of legal propaganda, propaganda of the Law on Vietnam Coast Guard, thereby raising awareness of law compliance for fishermen when exploiting aquatic products at sea, creating deterrence, warning, and general prevention.
In addition, the working group of the Coast Guard Region 4 Command directly went to fishing boats fishing in the coastal waters of Nam Du archipelago and fishing boats anchored at the port to propagate the law, give national flags, pictures of Uncle Ho and medical kits to fishermen.

Coast Guard Region 4 Command propagates against IUU fishing and presents national flags, Uncle Ho's pictures, and medical kits to fishing vessels operating at sea.
On this occasion, the Command of Coast Guard Region 4 presented gifts to 15 families with preferential policies and fishermen with difficult circumstances; presented gifts to 10 students with difficult circumstances who have excelled in their studies (each gift worth 1,000,000 VND) and continued to sponsor 3 students (each gift worth 9,000,000 VND/child/year).
At the propaganda session, Colonel Phan Duy Cuong - Deputy Military Commander, Coast Guard Region 4 Command - emphasized: "The sea and islands are not only sacred territory, but also the flesh and blood of the Fatherland. Each fisherman going out to sea is a milestone in protecting sovereignty. Through the program, we hope that each person on a remote island will not only feel secure in going to sea, but also actively join the Vietnam Coast Guard to maintain political security, order and safety in the sacred southwest sea of the Fatherland."
