On the morning of October 26, the Command of Coast Guard Region 2 announced that its vessel, Ship 369, had promptly rescued a fishing boat that had suffered engine failure and a damaged bow while operating in the Truong Sa (Spratly) Islands area, bringing four fishermen to safety.
Earlier, at 10:00 AM on October 25th, while on duty in the Truong Sa Special Economic Zone, approximately 2 nautical miles southeast of Song Tu Tay Island, Ship 369 received a notification from Da Nam Island requesting assistance in rescuing fishing vessel PY 91243 TS, which had encountered difficulties at 6:20 PM on October 24th.

Immediately after receiving the information, Ship 369 quickly moved to the location of the distressed vessel. After about 30 minutes of travel, the Coast Guard forces reached the fishing vessel PY 91243 TS and proceeded to tow it safely back to the Da Nam harbor.
According to initial information, the fishing vessel PY 91243 TS had four fishermen on board, with Mr. Huynh Kim (born in 1985, residing in Phu Yen ward, Dak Lak province) as the captain.
When the accident occurred, two fishermen sustained head injuries, and one had shards of glass embedded in his leg. The boat suffered propeller damage, a broken bow, and limited maneuverability.

As soon as the ship was towed to the Da Nam harbor, the medical team of Ship 369 conducted examinations and provided first aid to the injured fishermen, while also supplying food, water, and coordinating with the mobile repair team to fix the damage to the fishing vessel.
To date, the fishermen's health has stabilized. The fishing vessel is being repaired so that it can resume its journey soon.
