During the visit, the delegation met with Vice President David Choque Huanca, President of the Chamber of Deputies Jerges Mercado; met with Minister of the Presidency María Nela Prada, Minister of Foreign Affairs Rogelio Mayta, Deputy Minister of Energy and Gas Franklin Molina; held talks with General Secretary of the Communist Party of Bolivia Ignacio Mendoza Pizzaro; worked with the Bolivian Workers' Center; attended the 70th Anniversary of the Founding of the Communist Youth Union of Bolivia and the 212th Anniversary of the Declaration of Independence of Venezuela.
Speaking at the meetings, contacts and working sessions, comrade Le Hong Quang affirmed that the Party, State and people of Vietnam always remember and are grateful for the valuable support and solidarity that the leftist and progressive forces and people in Latin America in general and in Bolivia in particular have given to Vietnam in the struggles for independence as well as in the current cause of national construction and defense; affirmed that Vietnam always pays attention to promoting friendly relations and multifaceted cooperation with friendly countries in Latin America, including Bolivia, for the common interests of the peoples, contributing to peace, stability, cooperation and development of the two regions.
Comrade Le Hong Quang also highly appreciated the achievements that the Bolivian Government has made in poverty reduction, strengthening the country's potential, maintaining economic growth, improving people's lives, and actively participating in regional integration; he said that the fact that the two countries are led by two left-wing parties, have similar development goals, and have close historical and traditional relations are favorable conditions for strengthening bilateral relations.
The Bolivian leaders welcomed the visit of the delegation of the Communist Party of Vietnam , affirming that the visit contributed to strengthening the friendly relations between the two countries as well as promoting relations between the Communist Party of Vietnam and Bolivian political parties; expressed admiration for the cause of national liberation, national reunification as well as the cause of innovation and the construction of a socialist country initiated and led by the Communist Party of Vietnam. The Bolivian leaders also shared the situation in Bolivia; emphasized that in the efforts to unite the nation, stabilize politics, develop the economy, and enhance its position in the region, Bolivia wishes to learn from Vietnam's experience in managing the country, developing peace and prosperity; affirmed that Bolivia always attaches importance to the traditional relationship of friendship, closeness, and solidarity with Vietnam, and wishes to promote relations between the two countries through the exchange of delegations at all levels, establishing and expanding cooperation in areas of potential for both sides such as economy-trade, agriculture, energy, construction, etc.
On the basis of consistently implementing the foreign policy of independence, self-reliance, peace, friendship, cooperation and development; multilateralizing and diversifying foreign relations; building a comprehensive and modern diplomacy based on promoting the combined strength of the three pillars of party diplomacy, state diplomacy and people-to-people diplomacy, comrade Le Hong Quang affirmed that Vietnam wishes to promote relations with political parties in Bolivia, contributing to promoting state relations and people-to-people diplomacy, for the common interests of the two parties, two states and peoples of the two countries. The two sides also discussed international and regional issues of mutual concern.
At the meeting with the General Secretary of the Communist Party of Bolivia, Comrade Le Hong Quang respectfully conveyed the warm greetings and regards of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong and the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam to the General Secretary and leaders of the Communist Party of Bolivia; thanked the Communist Party of Bolivia for its valuable support and solidarity for Vietnam; informed about the situation in Vietnam and the Communist Party of Vietnam; expressed the desire to develop the friendly and united relationship between the two parties through maintaining delegation exchanges, strengthening propaganda work, promoting relations between mass organizations and people, and coordinating and supporting each other's positions at multilateral political party forums.
Speaking at the 70th Anniversary of the Bolivian Communist Youth Union, comrade Le Hong Quang affirmed the important position and role of youth and the younger generation in the struggle for national liberation and national development in progressive and revolutionary countries; believed that Bolivian youth would overcome all difficulties and challenges, successfully complete the assigned tasks; and proposed to promote relations between the two communist youth organizations of Vietnam and Bolivia.
