Chinese business delegation explores investment opportunities in supplying and manufacturing components for wind turbines in Hai Phong

(Haiphong.gov.vn) - In order to promote investment promotion activities, improve cooperation efficiency, and attract foreign investment capital into the city, on the afternoon of August 13, the Hai Phong Economic Zone Management Board received and worked with a Chinese business delegation, led by Mr. Si Zhong Wu, Director of Goldwind International Southeast Asia, representing a group of businesses in the supply chain for manufacturing components for wind turbines. Also attending were representatives of relevant departments and branches.

To date, Goldwind has supplied more than 47,000 wind turbines worldwide with a total global installed capacity exceeding 97GW and an operation and maintenance (O&M) service capacity exceeding 56GW. To promote the global energy transformation, Goldwind has comprehensively integrated renewable energy and digital technology.

Mr. Si Zhong Wu also said that businesses have recognized the advantages, potentials, and development space of Hai Phong city. Therefore, through the working session, on-site surveys to seek cooperation and investment opportunities. Businesses expressed interest in support policies when investing in Hai Phong; time for completing investment procedures; preferential policies for building housing areas for workers; average salary for workers in the city today...

At the meeting, the Hai Phong Economic Zone Management Board provided some information on the socio-economic development situation, potentials and advantages of Hai Phong city; especially the investment environment, preferential policies of the city for foreign investors and enterprises related to the production of high-tech products in the field of wind power. At the same time, it was said that currently, in the economic zone, industrial parks in the city focus on attracting investment projects in the fields of clean industry, consumer electronics industry, supporting industry... Therefore, we hope to receive the attention and investment of Chinese investors, especially in the fields of infrastructure, industry, seaports, logistics, electronics, high technology... Hai Phong city is committed to continuing to accompany and create the most favorable conditions to support investors to implement projects in the city effectively and develop sustainably...
