Interdisciplinary delegation inspects smuggling, trade fraud and counterfeit goods in Thuan Chau

The interdisciplinary inspection team was divided into two groups; conducting inspections along National Highway 6 and central markets. In particular, focusing on inspections of goods that directly affect consumers' health according to the direction of Official Dispatch 65/CD-TTg dated May 15, 2025 and Directive No. 13/CT-TTg dated May 17, 2025 of the Prime Minister , including: Medicines, functional foods, milk, cosmetics, plant varieties, fertilizers, pesticides, livestock, poultry, animals, animal products; controlling the use of growth stimulants for fruits, the excessive use of chemicals to increase weight, prevent dehydration after thawing to deceive about the volume, reduce quality.

However, according to the reporter's records, on June 3, at a number of markets and shops in Thuan Chau district, many production and business establishments and shops simultaneously closed and temporarily suspended operations, affecting the exchange of goods, serving the consumption needs of the people as well as affecting the inspection work of functional forces during the peak period of the fight to prevent and repel smuggling, trade fraud, counterfeit goods, and infringement of intellectual property rights in the district.

During the implementation process, the Inspection Teams ensured compliance with regulations, did not cause inconvenience or hinder the business activities of households. Along with the inspection work, the Team disseminated andeducated the law, raised awareness among production and business establishments about their responsibility to participate in the fight to prevent and repel smuggling, trade fraud, counterfeit goods that infringe on intellectual property rights and protect consumer rights.
