Buddhist art troupes from many countries will perform at Vesak 2025

As part of the 2025 United Nations Vesak Festival event series, the international Buddhist music and art exchange program directed by the Central Cultural Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha will take place on the evening of May 7 at Thisky Hall, Sala Thu Duc Urban Area, Ho Chi Minh City.

The event has a scale of 3,000 spectators and will be broadcast live on VTV9, An Vien Television and Buddhist Affairs Online channels.

The program has the participation of Buddhist art troupes from many countries such as India, China, Korea, Cambodia, Thailand... contributing to enriching the cultural exchange content within the framework of Vesak 2025.

The program is sponsored and organized by Venerable Thich Tue Hai, with General Director and Music Director being musician Le Minh Son, and the participation of musician Tran Manh Hung and conductor Le Ha My.

The program has the participation of many domestic and international artists.

The performing artists include the Symphony Orchestra of the Ho Chi Minh City Opera and Ballet, the Phu Dong Folk Music Ensemble, the Rhythm Section-Dung Da Lat light band, the amateur music group led by Meritorious Artist Huynh Khai, the Saigon Choir, and the Arabesque and Power dance groups.

Besides, there is the participation of artists: Viet Hoan, Dang Duong, Lan Anh; singers Duc Tuan, Le Viet Anh, Pham Trang, Dao Mac, Ho Quynh Huong, Ung Hoang Phuc...

The program is one of the key cultural activities of the 2025 Vesak Festival, aiming to introduce the image of the country and people of Vietnam in conjunction with the spirit of international Buddhism./.

The 20th United Nations Day of Vesak 2025 will take place from May 6-8 at the Vietnam Buddhist Academy (Le Minh Xuan Campus, Binh Chanh District, Ho Chi Minh City). It is expected that about 2,800 delegates will attend, including about 1,300 international delegates from 85 countries and territories and more than 1,500 domestic delegates, along with thousands of monks, nuns, and Buddhists.
