Creating a favorable business investment environment for enterprises

At the coffee meeting, representatives of departments and branches informed about the socio -economic situation of the province in the past time. Accordingly, it is estimated that in the first 6 months of 2024, Ben Tre will achieve a GDP growth rate of 7.18%, among the localities with high growth rates. Key economic indicators such as budget revenue and new rural construction have all achieved positive results. However, the province still faces a number of difficulties, especially the impact of global trade tensions, especially the US-China trade war.

There are many business opinions contributing and proposing solutions in the fields of production and business, transportation business, trade promotion support, technology application to replicate models in aquaculture, tightening management of trade fraud to create a fair business environment and develop together.

In addition, delegates also focused on in-depth discussions on the implementation of Resolutions No. 66-NQ/TW and No. 68-NQ/TW of the Central Committee on private economic development. These resolutions are considered a breakthrough in thinking and policy, clearly establishing the role of the private economic sector as an important driving force for development. Ben Tre province is synchronously implementing solutions, creating more favorable conditions for private enterprises to access capital, land and other support to promote investment in production and business.

Chairman of the Provincial Business Association Tran Van Duc said that after the merger, the province will merge the Business Associations of the three provinces.

Regarding the merger of the Business Associations of the three provinces of Ben Tre, Vinh Long and Tra Vinh , Mr. Tran Van Duc - Chairman of the Business Association of Ben Tre province said that this is an inevitable trend to increase the combined strength of the business community in the region. The merger process was implemented in accordance with the correct procedures, with the direction of the government.

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Ngoc Tam affirmed that Ben Tre still maintains its position as the gateway to the new province, with many opportunities for development and investment attraction.

Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Tran Ngoc Tam affirmed that the policy of merging the provinces aims to improve the efficiency of state management and administration and better exploit the potential of development space. However, Ben Tre province still plays the role of a strategic "gateway" of the new province in particular and of the Mekong Delta in general, with the advantages of marine economy, garden economy and a logistics system that is gradually being perfected.

Concluding the meeting, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Ngoc Tam said that the province is always receptive, supportive and ready to listen and resolve all difficulties for businesses. At the same time, he requested that departments and branches fully absorb the feedback, promptly advise on specific solutions, consistent with the spirit of the Government serving and committed to action.

Enterprises also need to promote a sense of responsibility, seize opportunities, and together create new momentum in the context of the economy gradually recovering and moving to a stage of sustainable growth.
