At 9:30 a.m. on May 10, the red phoenix flower train officially departed, carrying the first passengers from Hai Phong station to Hanoi station.
Luxurious experience, affordable price
Hoa Phuong Do is a special train implemented by Vietnam Railways Corporation in coordination with Hai Phong City to bring a different experience to tourists, celebrating the 70th anniversary of Hai Phong City Liberation Day (1955 - 2025).

This is the first time the railway industry has put into operation a 34-seat VIP carriage with Indochinese-style interior.
The 56-seat carriage is equipped with new generation seats that can rotate 180 degrees, so passengers no longer have to worry about sitting in the opposite direction when the train is running.
Each carriage has a spacious hand washing area, modern and clean toilets. In addition, the train also has 64 standard seats, applying flexible fares to meet the diverse travel needs of customers.

As one of the first passengers to experience the red phoenix flower train from Hai Phong station to Hanoi station, Nguyen Thuy Linh commented: "What impressed me most was the interior and space design, which is completely different from other trains.

Although he had known about the red phoenix flower train through mass media and social networks, Pham Tri Dung (Hai Phong) was still surprised when he experienced it himself.
"The new look of the train is really beautiful and luxurious. My first feeling when I got on the train was "oh, wow".
I think the price of 250,000 - 300,000 VND/ticket for VIP seats is completely reasonable. This place has a beautiful space for checking in, drinks and listening to music," Tri Dung shared.
Ngoc Anh - content creator - hopes that the red phoenix flower train will help more and more tourists come to the food tour, historical works, and destinations of the port city.
"The top dishes that cannot be missed when experiencing a food tour are crab rice noodles, spicy fish noodles, baguettes, Hai Phong rice rolls...", Ngoc Anh introduced.

According to Vietnam Railways Corporation, the number of passengers using railway services in 2024 on the Hanoi - Hai Phong route will reach over 1.53 million passengers, bringing in revenue of over 109 billion VND.
The launch of the high-quality Red Flamboyant train demonstrates the determination to innovate thinking, improve service quality and increase experience value. Thereby, making railways a top choice for green tourism trends.
Currently, the Hanoi - Hai Phong railway route runs 4 pairs of trains/day regularly and increases to 6 pairs of trains/day on weekends, holidays and Tet.
Mr. Hoang Gia Khanh - General Director of Vietnam Railway Corporation - affirmed that the train is now not just a simple means of transportation, but a special tourism product, associated with the image of Hai Phong city, where there are brilliant red phoenix flowers every summer.
"The red phoenix flower train will become an indispensable part of the journey to discover the beauty of the country, and especially the port city of Hai Phong," Mr. Khanh shared.
In the coming time, Vietnam Railways will continue to coordinate with localities to bring people and tourists cultural and historical experiences on trains.
