On September 24, the Vietnamese Sports Delegation competed in 14 events including: Shooting, Boxing, Men's Football, Table Tennis, Swimming, Chess, Fencing, E-Sports, Judo, Rowing, Taekwondo, Tennis, Gymnastics, Wushu, including events with medal hopes such as Taekwondo, Rowing, Shooting, Boxing, etc.

The women's four-scull rowing event brought home a valuable bronze medal.
The good news came in the morning in the final of the women's four-sculls with one oar, the "four" Dinh Thi Hao, Du Thi Bong, Ha Thi Vui, Pham Thi Hue competed with strong opponents from China, Japan, Hong Kong (China), China, India and Thailand. The Vietnamese girls competed hard to finish in 3rd place with a time of 6 minutes 52 seconds 35, just behind China with a time of 6 minutes 42 seconds 03 and Japan with a time of 6 minutes 47 seconds 04, thereby winning the bronze medal.
Meanwhile, good news also came to Taekwondo this morning when athlete Tran Ho Duy excellently won against his opponent Chan Chung Yin (Hong Kong) and athlete Moghis Wki (Saudi Arabia). Although Ho Duy later lost to his Korean opponent - Kang Wanjin (Korea) with a score of 7.120 - 7.410 in the semi-finals, he still won a valuable bronze medal.
In table tennis, the Vietnamese women's team easily won 3-0 against Uzbekistan in the round of 16, thereby entering the quarterfinals to meet host China. Tran Mai Ngoc played her first match, defeating Markhabo Magdieva 10-12, 11-7, 12-10, 10-12, 11-8; Nguyen Khoa Dieu Khanh doubled the gap for Vietnam even faster when defeating Rozalina Khadjieva 11-8, 11-6, 11-7; Bui Ngoc Lan completed the battle when defeating Asel Erkebaeva 11-9, 11-9, 11-7. But the joy was not complete when the Vietnamese women's team lost 0-3 to China in the quarterfinals. Meanwhile, the men's team also lost to Iran and stopped in the round of 16.

Judo athletes entered the competition and faced very strong opponents. In turn, athletes Hoang Thi Tinh (48kg), Chu Duc Dat (60kg), Truong Hoang Phuc (66kg) could not continue after losing to representatives from China, Mongolia and Tajikistan in the round of 16.
In the shooting event, in the women's 10m air rifle team event, the Vietnamese team including 3 athletes Le Thi Mong Tuyen, Phi Thanh Thao and Nguyen Thi Thao only scored 1876.3 points, ranking 7th out of 15 competing teams. In the swimming event, Tran Hung Nguyen and Nguyen Quang Thuan could not pass the qualifying round of the 200m medley, while Nguyen Thuy Hien ranked 18th in the women's 50m breaststroke event with a time of 33.53 seconds, and Ngo Dinh Chuyen ranked 22nd in the men's 100m freestyle event with a time of 51.42 seconds.
In Esports, Truong Duc Hieu and Ho Gia Huy won the right to enter round 1 of the EA Sports FC Online winning bracket after 2 consecutive victories. In Chess, Vietnamese players had quite good results after round 1 when 2/4 players won. In Physical Education, Vietnam also had 5 events in the final.
At the end of the first day of competition, the Vietnamese Sports Delegation won 2 bronze medals, temporarily ranking 14th. Leading is host China (20 gold medals), second is Korea (5 gold medals), followed by Japan (2 gold medals).
