Bac Ninh enterprises need to pioneer in high technology

Speaking at the conference, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Chi Dung welcomed Bac Ninh province for organizing the event and commended the efforts and contributions of the private business community of Bac Ninh province.

The Deputy Prime Minister noted that the world is undergoing a period of rapid transformation, the global value chain is being reshaped, in which FDI enterprises are shifting towards new trends. Notably, investment capital flows into digital transformation, science and technology and innovation are constantly increasing.

FDI enterprises are focusing on green economic sectors and new economic sectors such as renewable energy. Multinational corporations are increasingly concerned about safety and stability when participating in new investment projects, along with fierce competition for innovation.

From the above trend, the Deputy Prime Minister suggested that in the coming time, Bac Ninh province needs to focus on implementing 3 tasks: Promoting science, technology, innovation and digital transformation; closely connecting domestic private enterprises with the FDI sector and the national innovation ecosystem; effectively supporting small and medium enterprises, upgrading models to participate more deeply in the global value chain.

At the same time, the Deputy Prime Minister also proposed solutions such as: Strongly promoting science, technology and innovation; linking with FDI enterprises; support policies from the central to local levels must be substantial and effective.

It is recommended that Bac Ninh province continue to promote its pioneering spirit and closely coordinate with Bac Giang province to reorient the development of the new Bac Ninh province to become an economic growth pole of the region and the whole country.

Bac Ninh enterprises must pioneer in high technology, boldly transform technology, pioneer in mergers and acquisitions with FDI enterprises... This is the shortest path in accessing technology, markets, supply chains...

Bac Ninh needs to continue to pay attention to developing a green, clean, modern industry based on science, technology and innovation. In particular, it must take advantage of the future Gia Binh International Airport as well as the connecting systems that are being formed...

To implement the above orientations, the Deputy Prime Minister noted that Bac Ninh province needs to effectively promote the "4-house" linkage model: State - school - business and scientist.

At the same time, it is recommended that the province proactively develop programs to support businesses. Businesses need to actively participate in the process of criticism and policy development, and accompany the State in realizing development policies...

The Party, State and Government are consistent in their viewpoint of developing the private economy to become the most important driving force of the national economy, committed to continuing to improve institutions, encouraging localities, including Bac Ninh, to proactively propose specific mechanisms to create substantial, effective and long-term breakthroughs for the private economic sector and for enterprises...

Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Chi Dung believes that Bac Ninh will continue to inherit and strongly promote traditional values, historical depth and unique cultural identities. At the same time, it will arouse the spirit of innovation in the new era, creating a breakthrough momentum to realize the aspiration to develop into the leading innovation center of the country and write the miracle of the Cau River.

Speaking at the conference, Mr. Vuong Quoc Tuan - Chairman of Bac Ninh Provincial People's Committee - affirmed that the event is of great significance in the context that the whole country in general and Bac Ninh province in particular are making efforts to implement the major policies and orientations of the Central Government on comprehensive national development. Including the implementation of Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo on breakthroughs in science and technology development, innovation and national digital transformation; Resolution No. 68-NQ/TW of the Politburo on private economic development.

Over the past years, Bac Ninh has made efforts to perfect its institutions, improve the investment environment, and create conditions for creative, high-tech and private start-up businesses to develop equally and safely.

Programs to support technology transfer, financial access, and human resource training have contributed to forming a provincial innovation ecosystem.

"In particular, the three-party coordination program between Bac Ninh province, the Ministry of Industry and Trade and Samsung Company in the program to support Vietnamese enterprises in Bac Ninh province is one of the typical effective programs" - Mr. Vuong Quoc Tuan emphasized.

According to Mr. Vuong Quoc Tuan, by 2024, Bac Ninh will have 24,877 enterprises with more than 430 trillion VND in registered capital, ranking 6th nationwide. The enterprise ratio is 16 enterprises/1,000 people, with nearly 3,000 newly established enterprises each year and an average growth rate of 10% - 15%/year.

The program clearly demonstrates the province's proactive spirit in building trust and strengthening links between private enterprises and the state management system, thereby unleashing resources and ideas for innovation.

At the conference, businesses also discussed their desire to simplify administrative procedures; perspectives on high technology and business steps such as commitment to quality, improvement of management systems; human resource development, digital transformation, AI, capital and business expectations of support policies from the state and local authorities to accompany and support businesses in development.

At the conference, Bac Ninh province launched the Liaison Committee of 5 Associations/Unions including: Bac Ninh Province Association of Electrical and Electronic Enterprises; Bac Ninh Province Association of Mechanical and Manufacturing Enterprises; Bac Ninh Province Association of Pharmaceutical and High-Tech Food Processing Enterprises; Bac Ninh Province Association of FDI Enterprises in the Electronics and Semiconductor Industry; Bac Ninh Province Association of FDI Enterprises in the Mechanical and Manufacturing Industry.
