Hai Phong Funeral Service Joint Stock Company (UPCoM: CPH) has just announced the closing of the shareholder list to pay 2024 cash dividends. The ex-dividend date will be May 16. The expected payment date is June 5.

The announced dividend rate is 19.6%, equivalent to VND1,960 per share. With 4.4 million shares in circulation, the total value of this dividend payment is about VND8.6 billion.

On the UPCoM market, the market price of CPH is only about 300 VND/share. This dividend is about 6.5 times higher than the current market price of CPH. This is also the highest dividend this company has ever announced, equal to the payment in 2022.

Established on June 28, 2010, formerly known as Funeral Service Company Limited, CPH converted to a joint stock model in 2015 and was listed on UPCoM in 2017. The company specializes in providing funeral and cremation services, and managing Ninh Hai and Phi Liet cemeteries in Hai Phong and neighboring areas.

As of 2024, the company has a charter capital of VND44 billion. Hai Phong City People's Committee owns 64.5% of shares, Hoang Phat Construction and Trading Investment Company Limited holds 10% and Chairman of the Board of Directors Nguyen Hong Le holds 5.33%. Most of CPH's shareholders are long-term investors, holding shares to receive dividends instead of trading to "eat" price differences.

CPH has a fairly high revenue of more than 150 billion VND in 2024, an increase of 15% compared to the previous year. Profit after tax reached nearly 10.8 billion VND, an increase of 6% compared to 2023. The financial situation is very positive, the enterprise has no bank loans.

Coal mining company pays cash dividend equal to 400% of stock price

On the UPCoM floor, another company that is about to pay a "huge" cash dividend is 397 Joint Stock Company (code BCB). According to the announcement, the ex-dividend date for paying 2024 cash dividends is May 29. The expected payment date for shareholders is June 20.

The dividend payout ratio is 28.1%, meaning that 1 BCB share receives 2,810 VND. With a total of 5.7 million shares in circulation, it is estimated that BCB will spend about 16 billion VND on this dividend.

On the stock exchange, BCB shares are at 700 VND/share. With a dividend of 2,810 VND/share, the dividend yield is up to more than 400%.

397 Joint Stock Company, formerly known as Coal Mining Team No. 1, was established in June 1996 under Dong Bac Company. 397 Company completed its equitization and officially transformed into a joint stock company in December 2017. The company was listed on UPCoM in October 2018.
