Da Nang tourism revenue breaks out after DIFF 2025 fireworks festival

(NLDO) - During the Da Nang fireworks festival, total revenue from accommodation, food and beverage and travel activities is estimated to reach 5,600 billion VND.

With 6 competition nights lasting 1.5 months, gathering 10 teams from 3 continents, the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival (DIFF) 2025 has attracted tens of thousands of visitors to the city every weekend.

The heat of the festival quickly spread to hotel, airline, culinary , entertainment service chains, etc., contributing to stimulating consumer demand and clearly positioning the city's brand.

Number of visitors skyrocketed, tourism revenue broke through

According to statistics, from May 31 to July 12 (during DIFF 2025), the total number of visitors to Da Nang reached more than 1.88 million , an increase of 26% compared to last year's festival season. Of which, international visitors accounted for nearly 770,000, domestic visitors accounted for about 1.11 million.

In particular, during the 6 official competition nights , the number of guests staying increased dramatically to 504,000 , an increase of 39% compared to DIFF 2024. International visitors alone reached more than 202,000 (up 46%) and domestic visitors reached about 302,000 (up 36%).

Total revenue from accommodation, food and beverage and travel activities is estimated at VND5,600 billion , up nearly 45% over the same period last year, showing the clear effect of DIFF's influence on the entire local tourism economy.

Vice Chairwoman of Da Nang City People's Committee Nguyen Thi Anh Thi affirmed that in the next 5 years, DIFF will continue to play a key role in elevating the cultural and tourism industries - two important economic pillars of the city.

Da Nang welcomes record number of visitors, huge revenue during DIFF 2025

Da Nang does not only consider DIFF as a single festival event, but is gradually positioning it as a platform connecting a series of commercial activities, entertainment, street festivals, art performances, shopping, cuisine... contributing to promoting the night-time economy and developing MICE tourism.

"DIFF will be the focal point in the unique event ecosystem, creating influence and connection between fields" - Ms. Thi emphasized.

In parallel with this effort, the city aims to welcome over 11.9 million visitors in 2025, with total tourism revenue expected to exceed VND36,000 billion.
