Before pulling, they will use a basket boat to pull the Rung net from the shore 300 - 400m away from the ground and then circle back. When the two starting points of the Rung net are assigned to two groups of people on the shore, then they will start pulling it up.
To pull the net to shore, the fishermen had to tie a leather belt around their backs, with one end tied to a rope attached to the net. Then they walked backwards, pulling the net to shore.

Fisherman Le Van Duy, Man Thai ward, said that the heavy rain and big waves in the past few days have resulted in more fish being caught by pulling the net. Most of the fish caught in the net are anchovies, hairtail, bream and even squid. The fish are so fresh when they reach the shore that they attract many people to come and see and buy them on the spot.
Many people came to watch the net being pulled to wait to see the fresh fish brought to shore.

The fishermen said that one haul netted about 1.5 million VND worth of fish. Divided, each person got more than 100,000 VND. In addition, the fishermen also brought a bag of fish home to feed their families. Every day, the fishermen of Man Thai pulled their nets near the shore about twice, in the mid-morning and afternoon.
