Recently, the Organizing Committee of Hue Festival 2023 announced the main programs and activities within the framework of the autumn festival and winter festival. With 12 main programs and activities of the autumn festival and 8 main programs and activities of the winter festival, tourists from now until the end of the year will have many opportunities to immerse themselves in the Hue Festival.
Mr. Nguyen Thanh Binh, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Hue Festival Organizing Committee, said that Hue Festival 2023 is associated with the orientation of the Four Seasons Festival to organize a series of festival activities throughout the year, promote the unique values of Hue culture and Vietnamese culture, exploit the strengths of scenic spots, types of festivals, spiritual tourism, and attract tourists. Hue Festival 2023 is organized methodically and professionally, in which local authorities create environmental space, communities, people and businesses are the participants. Activities are organized in the direction of socialization, in line with the Hue Festival brand, and at the same time adapt to the development trend of society.
The 12 main programs and activities within the framework of the autumn festival are all attractive programs, imbued with cultural identity, including: International Fine Arts Exhibition - a program that gathers artists from many countries to participate; Quan The Am festival; Ao Dai festival; exhibition of royal treasures of the Khai Dinh period, 100-year journey of Mussé Khai Dinh to Hue Royal Antiquities Museum; Hue Nam Palace festival; traditional boat racing festival on the Perfume River; Hue Matsuri 2023 program, Mangga Palace (Japanese animation); international photography festival; Hue lion festival; Hue lantern week; lion and dragon performances and the program "Hue Tuong - echoes of thousands of years".
The winter festival focuses on main programs and activities, including: "Green Keys" musical instrument performance festival; Hue health care tourism week; heritage drawing contest; "Hue winter stories" program; International music festival; "Golden Nightingale" singing festival; festival of art clubs in Thua Thien Hue province combined with Ao Dai performance and Countdown program - the final activity of Hue Festival 2023.
The Organizing Committee of Hue Festival 2023 said that the autumn atmosphere is associated with a very special program, the International Lantern Festival. Units in the province, units from neighboring provinces such as Hoi An, Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi... and lantern production units from three countries: Korea, China, Japan will participate. At the 2023 lantern festival, there will be a space for installing, displaying lanterns and selling products from production facilities, craft villages in Thua Thien Hue and a space for installing and displaying lanterns from other countries. People and tourists can watch performances, experience making lanterns and folk toys.
In addition, there will be a Royal Mid-Autumn Festival, with 1,000 lanterns decorated in the Imperial City; Offerings and moon cakes at the palaces in the Imperial City; performing arts of “Lantern procession, lantern dance, lion dance and royal music”. In addition, there will be a space for “Traditional Vietnamese Mid-Autumn Festival” and community activities, responses, and exhibitions of “Hue lantern and lion making”.
In winter, the international music festival with the theme “THE SOUND OF NATURE” is a highly anticipated event. The program will include the following activities: Opening and international music performances by groups participating in the music week; group exchanges and introductions of contemporary music genres; exchanges and introductions of famous domestic singers and contemporary music groups; a light festival organized by the Embassy of the French Republic in the majestic setting of Hue Citadel.
Unique Ao Dai art performance
One of the highlights of the autumn festival is the program "Ao Dai Festival Hue 2023" with the theme "Stories from a river", aiming to innovate, improve the quality of art and gradually turn the Ao Dai Hue festival into a unique art program of the Ao Dai capital; regularly serving tourists and the public of Hue.
Not simply an Ao Dai show, the Hue Ao Dai Festival 2023 is a unique and most novel Ao Dai art performance ever; with a combination of fashion - singing - dancing - music; gathering famous Ao Dai designers across the country, with special Ao Dai collections associated with stories from the Huong River - a legendary river, a historical river, a cultural river, a river of music, poetry and painting.
The Hue Festival 2023 Ao Dai Festival consists of 3 chapters. Overall, it is a story about the Perfume River: Dreamy nature, romantic moon and water, peaceful, gentle and graceful city, charming appearance, nostalgic folk songs, Hue - The place of thousands of poems... The story about the river is also the idea and material for designers to create Ao Dai with motifs, colors, trees, flowers, traces of time..., an epic about a river, an ancient town, a modern city... associated with Ao Dai over the years of a beautiful, magnificent and heroic city.
According to the Organizing Committee of Hue Festival 2023, there are 12-15 designers participating in the program. The designers do not form a collection specifically based on a theme, but can participate in ao dai collections based on a story. Each ao dai is a work of art associated with the content of the story.
