Innovating training content to help students of the Academy of Finance adapt to the digital age

Attending the ceremony were Politburo member, Permanent Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Do Van Chien and representatives of leaders of several central and local ministries, departments and branches; leaders of several academies and universities; leaders, staff, lecturers and students of the Academy of Finance.

Speaking at the ceremony, Standing Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Do Van Chien highly appreciated and welcomed the Party Committee and Board of Directors of the Academy of Finance for their initiative in organizing two meaningful events in the same solemn and humane space. Because investing in developing the education and training career and consolidating and strengthening the strength of the great national unity bloc are two spiritual pillars, imbued with the cultural identity of the Vietnamese people.

The Academy of Finance has the mission of training high-quality human resources in finance, accounting, auditing, economics ... for the country. Over the past 60 years, the school has trained about 150,000 bachelors, 10,000 masters, 500 doctors. Graduates work in all fields and economic sectors, many have become prestigious leaders at all levels, successful entrepreneurs, good managers, prestigious teachers...

Praising the achievements that teachers and students of the Academy of Finance have achieved in recent years, Standing Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Do Van Chien emphasized that the Academy needs to "Think deeply - Look broadly - Do big - Be determined - Achieve new successes", focusing on 6 key tasks. First of all, comprehensively innovate the content and training programs, solving new problems posed by practice. Along with that, promote two-way internationalization of training links with international and training international students; pioneer digital transformation in training so that students can immediately adapt to the digital space, financial activities, accounting, and digital management after graduation. The Academy needs to improve scientific research work, proactively and boldly advise on policies in both the public and private sectors; build a network connecting entrepreneurs, businesses, and managers who are alumni to survey and grasp what the human resource market needs, what practice desires to meet in order to adjust the program content accordingly; Building the cultural identity of the Academy of Finance: Modern, disciplined, practical, humane, and affectionate.

Regarding the National Unity Day, National Assembly Permanent Vice Chairman Do Van Chien said that organizing the Day in the education sector is necessary and meaningful in fostering patriotism, love, care and solidarity among those working in teaching and research, especially students.

The Vice President of the National Assembly expressed his joy that among the 25,000 students of the Academy, 1,700 are ethnic minorities. Among the staff and lecturers, there are also many ethnic minorities. In the past two years, the Academy has received more than 200 students from preparatory colleges, most of whom are ethnic minorities. The Vice President of the National Assembly hopes that ethnic minorities will overcome all difficulties, overcome themselves, strive to study well, work well to contribute to building their homeland and country.

Associate Professor - Dr. Nguyen Dao Tung, Director of the Academy of Finance, shared: At the Academy of Finance, the spirit of solidarity is not only a slogan but also permeates every activity, becoming a symbiotic driving force for development, building a common home of solidarity where staff, lecturers, and students, despite differences in origin, region, ethnicity, and religion, all share a strong learning community.

In the new development phase, with the trend of deep integration, innovation and digital transformation, in the 2024-2025 school year, the Academy has opened 12/18 majors, with 42 training programs. Notably, the rate of graduates having jobs after 1 year is always 98%. The Academy is strongly developing the Smart Finance Academy model, building a digital library, towards a modern digital university model.

On this occasion, 11 individuals of the Academy of Finance were awarded the Second and Third Class Labor Medals by the President for their outstanding contributions to the cause of building socialism and defending the Fatherland.
