As the leading medical unit in the locality, Nam Nhun District Medical Center manages 11 commune and town medical stations, with a total of more than 140 staff, doctors, and technicians. Every day, the center receives 70-100 people for outpatient and inpatient examination and treatment. In the first 3 months of 2025 alone, the unit examined and treated nearly 14,000 patients, of which health insurance (HI) examinations accounted for about 85%. These figures show the growing trust of people in the quality of medical services in the locality.
Implementing Decision No. 2151/QD-BYT dated June 4, 2025 of the Ministry of Health on "Innovation in service style and attitude of medical staff towards patient satisfaction", Nam Nhun District Medical Center has issued many specific and synchronous plans, from reforming administrative procedures, medical examination and treatment processes, to standardizing medical ethics, improving professional skills. The Center has set up a hotline, suggestion box, and maintained a social work team in the patient reception area. All feedback is received and processed promptly and publicly. Doctors and medical staff are thoroughly imbued with the "12 medical ethics" as a guideline in their practice, considering patients as relatives, and serving with the highest sense of responsibility.
Along with building a friendly and civilized service attitude, Nam Nhun District Medical Center focuses on professional innovation, strengthening staff training, and upgrading equipment. In 2024, the center will invest over 5 billion VND to purchase modern machinery such as: 4D ultrasound machine, electrocardiogram machine, automatic biochemical testing system, ventilator, patient monitor... to help diagnose and promptly treat many complex diseases. In particular, the unit promotes the application of information technology in medical examination and treatment management. Health insurance examination using chip-embedded citizen identification cards and cashless hospital fee payment are effectively implemented, creating maximum convenience for patients and reducing administrative procedures.
Dr. Ha Thi Thoi - Deputy Director of the District Medical Center said: "We always consider the patient as the center of all professional activities. In addition to ensuring adequate medicine, supplies, and chemicals according to the health insurance list, the center also proactively improves the professional capacity of the medical team, ensuring timely treatment and proper referral for cases beyond treatment capacity."
Doctors at Nam Nhun District Medical Center enthusiastically examine patients.
Not only innovation in process and technique, what makes patients trust and stick with Nam Nhun District Medical Center is the dedication and thoughtfulness of the medical staff. Mr. Hoang Xuan Truong (Nam Don village, Nam Hang commune) shared: “I have had diabetes for many years, I come to the center for examination every month. The doctors and nurses here are very enthusiastic, gently guide and explain each type of medicine in detail. Thanks to that, I control the disease quite well, without having to be transferred to a higher level.”
The center attaches special importance to the training and development of medical staff. In 2024, the unit sent nearly 30 doctors, nurses, and technicians to receive training at central and provincial hospitals. The training content focuses on endoscopic surgery techniques, diagnostic imaging, testing, advanced emergency care, hospital quality management, etc. At the same time, the center also organizes many on-site training courses, invites lecturers from higher levels to "hold hands and guide", and enhances inter-departmental professional exchanges. Thanks to that, the diagnostic and treatment capacity of the staff has been gradually improved, reducing the rate of referrals, saving costs for patients.
In addition to medical examination and treatment, Nam Nhun District Medical Center also maintains a good disease prevention and control system. In the past year, no major epidemics occurred in the area. The Center has proactively monitored epidemics, expanded vaccination to over 95% of the planned target, organized propaganda on environmental hygiene, food safety, prevention of dengue fever, seasonal flu, hand, foot and mouth disease, etc. In the area in recent years, there have been no major epidemics. Internal and external emergency teams are always ready to be on duty 24/7 during holidays and Tet. The commune health station system is clearly assigned tasks, connected smoothly with the district level, ensuring the best service for people's health in remote areas.
In the coming time, the center will continue to implement comprehensive solutions: improving the quality of human resources, perfecting facilities, developing specialized techniques, promoting administrative reform and maintaining professional ethics - all towards the highest goal: the safety, satisfaction and health of the people.
