In the final of the women's 4x400m event, the Vietnamese women's 4x400m relay team started in the following order: Nguyen Thi Hang, Nguyen Thi Ngoc, Quach Thi Lan and Hoang Thi Minh Hanh. In the first three races, the Vietnamese girls competed fiercely for the leading position with three runners from India.

In the final run, the representative of Sri Lanka unexpectedly took the lead. In the last 100m, Hoang Thi Minh Hanh accelerated to keep the top 1 position. Unfortunately, in the last 60m, she was overtaken by the representative of India to finish first.

As a result, the Indian team won the Gold Medal with a time of 3 minutes 34 seconds 18. The Vietnamese team won the Silver Medal with a time of 3 minutes 34 seconds 77 seconds. The Bronze Medal went to the Sri Lankan team with a time of 3 minutes 36 seconds 67 seconds. This is not the best result of the Lan - Hang - Ngoc - Hanh quartet. A year ago (2024), these four athletes finished first with a time of 3 minutes 30 seconds 81, to win the Gold Medal. This achievement shows that the Vietnamese athletics team still has a lot of work to do if they are determined to aim for a medal at the ASIAD in Japan next year 2026.
