Vietnam futsal team defeated the Korean team

On the afternoon of October 11, in Mongolia, the Vietnamese futsal team met the Korean futsal team in the final match of Group D of the 2024 Asian Futsal Championship qualifiers. This match was only to decide the top spot in Group D as both teams had won all 6 points, but coach Diego Giustozzi and his team had a better goal difference, so a draw would ensure they would top the group.

Having already qualified for the finals, both teams started the game comfortably, creating an attractive attacking game. After a few missed opportunities, the Vietnamese futsal team made it happen with the opening goal in the 14th minute. Duong Ngoc Linh received the ball from the right wing and fired a technical shot, defeating the Korean goalkeeper. Just 2 minutes later, Nhan Gia Hung doubled the gap for the Vietnamese futsal team with a powerful long-range shot.

Playing with determination, the Korean futsal team scored a goal to reduce the score to 1-2 at the beginning of the second half. However, the Vietnamese futsal team quickly scored a goal to take the lead 3-1 with a goal by Duong Ngoc Linh in the 29th minute.

On the rise, the Vietnamese futsal team still created a completely overwhelming situation against Korea. The technical playing style and diverse attacking ability of the Vietnamese futsal team caused many difficulties for the opponent. Dinh Cong Vien scored in the 31st minute and Minh Tri scored in the 35th minute, helping the Vietnamese futsal team lead 5-1.

In the final minutes of the match, the Korean team went all out to attack and scored another goal in the last minute of the match, narrowing the gap to 2-5 from the 6-meter penalty spot.

In the end, the Vietnamese futsal team defeated South Korea 5-2. This result helped the Vietnamese futsal team advance to the 2024 AFC Futsal Championship as group winners, with 9 absolute points after 3 matches, scoring 16 goals, and conceding only 3. Meanwhile, South Korea also advanced as group runners-up.

According to the plan, the 2024 AFC Futsal Championship Finals will take place in Thailand from April 17, 2024 to April 28, 2024 with 16 participating teams.
