Vietnamese women's tennis determined to move up the rankings
The Billie Jean King Cup International Women's Team Tennis Tournament, Group III, Asia/Oceania, hosted by Vietnam, will take place from November 10 to 15 at the NovaWorld Phan Thiet Sports Complex (Lam Dong).

The Vietnamese women's tennis team, with a rejuvenated squad, aims to achieve the best results at the 2025 Billie Jean King Cup Group III international women's team tennis tournament in Asia/Oceania.

The tournament attracted 35 players from 7 countries including Laos, Maldives, Guam, Brunei, Bahrain, Jordan and host Vietnam. According to the draw results, the Vietnamese women's tennis team is in Group A with Maldives and Bahrain while Group B includes Laos, Guam, Brunei and Jordan. The team with the best results will qualify to play in Group II in 2026.
At this Billie Jean King Cup, the Vietnamese women's tennis team sent a rejuvenated squad with players Nguyen Thi Mai Linh ( Hanoi ), Ngo Hong Hanh (Army), Phan Diem Quynh (Army), Dang Thi Hanh (Hai Phong), Vu Khanh Phuong (Army). The goal set by the coaching staff is that each player will show their full potential when on the field, and if given the opportunity, they will take advantage to win a promotion spot.

The Billie Jean King Cup (formerly Fed Cup) is the world's most prestigious women's team tournament organized by the ITF, similar to the men's team (Davis Cup). The tournament brings together national teams from around the world, competing on a promotion system through regional groups.
According to the schedule, the Vietnamese women's tennis team will face Bahrain today and then Maldives in the final group stage match tomorrow. The first and second place teams in each group will advance to the semi-finals.
