(QBĐT) - After 3 days of exciting competition, on the morning of March 23, the 11th Central Highlands - Central Region Karate National Championship 2025 officially ended.

This year’s tournament attracted 360 athletes from 17 provinces and cities in the region. The athletes competed in two categories: Kata (performance) and Kumite (combat). According to the Organizing Committee, this year’s tournament was organized professionally and thoughtfully by the host team , Quang Binh .

The athletes participating in the competition demonstrated systematic techniques, flexible tactics and fierce competitive spirit. Many matches took place at a high level of expertise, especially in the confrontational events, showing the clear progress of young athletes in the region. In addition, the units were well prepared, helping the tournament to be exciting, attractive and successful.

At the end of the tournament, the Organizing Committee awarded 75 sets of medals to the best athletes in four age groups (10-11, 12-14, 15-17 and over 18 years old). In the final result, the Hue City delegation won the first prize with 12 gold medals, 7 silver medals and 4 bronze medals. The Ha Tinh delegation ranked second with 10 gold medals, 4 silver medals and 12 bronze medals.

Third place belongs to Kon Tum delegation with 8 gold medals, 7 silver medals, 9 bronze medals. Some other outstanding delegations include: Gia Lai (7 gold medals, 6 silver medals, 9 bronze medals), Dak Lak (6 gold medals, 4 silver medals, 4 bronze medals), Thanh Hoa (5 gold medals, 8 silver medals, 11 bronze medals), Quang Nam (4 gold medals, 8 silver medals, 21 bronze medals). The host delegation Quang Binh ranked 9th with 4 gold medals, 7 silver medals, 10 bronze medals.

The Central Highlands Karate National Championship is jointly organized by the Vietnam Sports Administration, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and the Quang Binh Karate Federation. The tournament is not only an opportunity for young martial artists to compete and improve their professional skills, but also contributes to the development of the Karate movement in the region.

This is also an activity to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025); the 94th anniversary of the founding of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (March 26, 1931 - March 26, 2025); the 79th anniversary of the Traditional Day of the Vietnam Sports Industry (March 27, 1946 - March 27, 2025).
