In 2023, the Party Committee and the District Military Command have performed well the advisory function for the District Party Committee and the District People's Committee to lead and thoroughly grasp the resolutions and directives of all levels; strived to overcome all difficulties, both preventing and fighting the epidemic and developing the socio -economy, successfully completing the set goals, requirements and tasks.

Specifically, the district's socio-economic situation continued to grow well compared to the same period; the income and living standards of the people of all ethnic groups in the district continued to improve, the main socio-economic indicators reached and exceeded the plan; the national defense and security (ND&S) potential was consolidated and enhanced. Party committees, authorities at all levels, agencies and organizations regularly disseminated and grasped the Party's viewpoints, guidelines, policies and State laws related to national defense and education on NDS; promoted the role of leadership and direction of assigned national defense tasks. Agencies, organizations, localities and units all effectively implemented and completed the assigned national defense targets, plans and tasks and NDS education tasks. The competent authorities closely coordinated, grasped the situation in all aspects, advised local Party committees and authorities to promptly handle situations that occurred, and avoided being passive and surprised; Maintain political security and social order and safety in the area, creating favorable conditions for local socio-economic development.

In 2023, the district has deployed 110 young men to military units, reaching 100% of the assigned target. Currently, the locality is making the best preparations for the selection and calling of citizens to join the army in 2024. In addition, State management of national defense and education on national defense and security is increasingly strict and effective, especially the development and promulgation of legal documents, planning, direction plans, and implementation of national defense and education on national defense and security.

The conference also outlined the directions and tasks for 2024, including continuing to thoroughly grasp and effectively direct the implementation of the Resolutions of Party Congresses at all levels, the resolutions of the Politburo, the Central Executive Committee of the Party, the Law on National Defense, the Law on National Defense Education and Security, the Law on Militia and Self-Defense Forces (DQTV), the Law on Reserve Mobilization (DBDV)... At the same time, strengthening the work of information, propaganda and dissemination of the provisions of the Constitution and laws on the field of national defense, focusing on implementing the Law on DQTV amended and supplemented in 2019; Law on DBDV in the district; advising on the effective implementation of state management contents on national defense in the locality.

Implement the combination of economic, cultural and social development with national defense and security, build a strong and comprehensive political foundation as the core to build a solid defense zone (KVPT), focusing on implementing Plan No. 55/KH-UBND dated September 6, 2013 of the Provincial People's Committee on combining socio-economic development with national defense in the KVPT in the province. Continue to effectively implement Plan No. 1572/KH-UBND dated December 19, 2014 of the Don Duong District People's Committee on implementing the Regulation on combining socio-economic development with national defense in the defense zone in Don Duong district, the process of economic restructuring and planning adjustment must be associated with the gradual completion of the military posture in the KVPT of localities; manage and protect defense works and military zones in the locality. Develop plans, content and do a good job of preparing and practicing the district defense area drill in 2024.

Implement well measures to build and protect local defense potential, build local armed forces, build all-people defense posture associated with people's security posture in the KVPT; prepare well conditions to be ready to mobilize the local and national national economy when there is a situation.

Build, train and ensure combat operations of local troops, militia and self-defense forces, and reserve forces; effectively carry out military recruitment, military enrollment, and basic military enrollment in 2024 in accordance with regulations.

Directing the effective implementation of coordination in the implementation of Decree No. 03/2019/ND-CP dated September 5, 2019 of the Government and Decree No. 02/2020/ND-CP of the Government, grasping the situation, proactively fighting and preventing, not being impulsive or surprised. Focusing on reviewing, adjusting and supplementing rescue plans and plans at all levels; organizing drills on on-site combat plans, fire prevention and fighting, responding to collapse of structures, natural disaster prevention, rescue and relief; proactively grasping the situation, effectively handling situations that occur, minimizing damage caused by natural disasters and catastrophes.

Proactively fight to defeat the "Peaceful Evolution" plot of hostile forces. Prevent and repel the degradation of political ideology, morality, lifestyle, and manifestations of "Self-evolution" and "Self-transformation" within the Party in conjunction with implementing Directive 05-CT/TW of the Politburo "Promoting the study and following of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality, and lifestyle".
