Geriatric Unit - Internal Medicine Department 4 has the function and task of examining and treating internal medicine and geriatric diseases and managing fields related to geriatrics. Previously, on August 2, 2024, Viet Tiep Friendship Hospital held a Conference to announce and present the Decision of the Hospital Director on the establishment of the Geriatric Unit under the Department of Internal Medicine (Internal Medicine 4) and assign the task of Head of the Geriatric Unit to Dr. Nguyen Tuan Luong, Deputy Head of the Department of Internal Medicine.

Currently, the Geriatrics Unit - Internal Medicine Department 4 is equipped with modern facilities and equipment with over 20 patient rooms, examination and procedure rooms, along with a team of enthusiastic, dedicated, experienced, and highly qualified medical staff, providing the best medical examination and treatment for the people of Hai Phong City as well as neighboring provinces in the Northern Coastal region.
