Comrade Bounleua ​​Phandanouvong: General Secretary To Lam's visit will add great momentum to the Lao Party, State and people.

(Chinhphu.vn) - Comrade Bounleua ​​Phandanouvong, Head of the External Relations Commission of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party Central Committee, affirmed that the State visit of General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam To Lam, his wife and the high-ranking Vietnamese delegation to Laos, taking place on the occasion of Laos's 50th National Day (December 2, 1975 - December 2, 2025), is an event of great significance for Laos and the special Laos-Vietnam relationship.

Mr. Bounleua ​​Phandanouvong, Head of the External Relations Commission of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party Central Committee, answered an interview with the Vietnamese press.

The visit not only continues to implement the cooperation agreements between the two Parties and States in recent times, especially maintaining regular exchanges of visits between high-ranking leaders, but also has profound political and historical significance in the development process of Laos-Vietnam relations.

This is also the first State visit of Comrade To Lam in his capacity as General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam to Laos, demonstrating the special respect of the Party and State of Vietnam for Laos. The visit takes place in the context of Laos organizing many important events, including the 105th anniversary of the birth of President Kaysone Phomvihane, further highlighting the significance of this foreign activity.

Comrade Bounleua ​​Phandanouvong emphasized that the visit will add great motivation to the Party, State and people of Laos of all ethnic groups; at the same time, continue to demonstrate the special friendship and solidarity between Laos and Vietnam, the tradition of "biting a grain of rice in half, breaking a stalk of vegetable in half", standing side by side in the previous stages of national liberation struggles, as well as in the current cause of national protection and development.

The event also affirmed the consistent viewpoint of the leaders of the two Parties and States in cultivating and enhancing the great friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos. This is an important occasion to widely propagate to all classes of people of the two countries, especially the young generation, to enhance understanding and foster responsibility to preserve and promote this special relationship.
