Chairman of the National Assembly's Committee on Culture and Education Nguyen Dac Vinh met with voters of Son Duong district.

Attending the meeting with voters were comrade Hoang Viet Phuong, member of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; representatives of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee and provincial departments and branches; leaders of Son Duong district and specialized departments and branches of the district, and a large number of voters of Dong Tho commune.

Deputy Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation Ma Thi Thuy informed voters about the expected agenda of the 7th session of the 15th National Assembly. The session is expected to take place over 27 working days, divided into 2 sessions at the National Assembly building, session 1 from May 20 to June 8, 2024; session 2 from June 17 to June 28, 2024.

In this session, the National Assembly will pass 10 draft laws, including: Law on Social Insurance (amended); Law on National Defense Industry, Security and Industrial Mobilization; Law on Roads; Law on Road Traffic Order and Safety; Law on Archives (amended); Law on Capital City (amended); Law on Organization of People's Courts (amended); Law on Amendments and Supplements to a Number of Articles of the Law on Property Auction; Law on Management and Use of Weapons, Explosives and Support Tools (amended) (according to the procedure at one session); Law on Amendments and Supplements to a Number of Articles of the Law on Guards (according to the procedure at one session); give opinions on 11 draft laws, many of which are directly related to people's lives, such as: Law on Trade Unions (amended); Law on Prevention and Combat of Human Trafficking (amended); Law on Amendments and Supplements to a Number of Articles of the Law on Pharmacy ...

National Assembly deputies chaired the meeting with voters.

The session also reviewed reports on additional assessments of the results of the implementation of the socio-economic development plan and state budget in 2023; the implementation of the socio-economic development plan and state budget in the first months of 2024 and many other important contents.

At the conference, voters of Dong Tho commune requested the authorities to consider and resolve a number of issues: Proposing to open a road from Lang Mong village, Dong Tho commune to Phu Loc village, Phuc Ung commune so that children of Dong Tho commune and neighboring communes can go to Phuc Ung industrial park to work and increase their family's income; investing in and upgrading DT 186 road through Dong Tho commune with a total length of about 12 km and DH 05 road from Dong Khe village, Dong Tho commune to Cap Tien commune to facilitate people's travel and circulation of goods and ensure the commune's new rural destination criteria by 2024.

At the same time, it is proposed to build a bridge connecting Xa Huong village, Dong Tho commune, Son Duong district, Tuyen Quang province to Dau Mau village, Chi Dam commune, Doan Hung district, Phu Tho province; recognize Dong Tho commune as an ATK commune so that people of all ethnic groups in the commune can enjoy the regimes and policies according to the State's regulations for ATK communes; reduce the age of eligibility for benefits for the elderly...

The opinions and recommendations of voters of Dong Tho commune have been received, discussed, answered and clarified by the leaders of Son Duong district People's Committee and provincial departments.

Speaking at the conference, Chairman of the National Assembly's Committee for Culture and Education Nguyen Dac Vinh acknowledged the attention and monitoring of voters and local people on the activities of the National Assembly and the provincial National Assembly delegation. The opinions and recommendations of voters will be received by the provincial National Assembly delegation and forwarded to authorities at all levels and relevant agencies for consideration and resolution according to their authority.

He also answered some specific recommendations from voters, and at the same time requested the People's Committee of Son Duong district, departments and branches of the province to immediately resolve urgent recommendations and advise the province to have a specific plan and roadmap to fundamentally, systematically and permanently resolve some recommendations from voters.
