Teammate accidentally confirmed Mbappe joined Real

France Midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni accidentally talked about Mbappe conquering Spanish fans, while all sides are keeping the information secret.

In an interview on Telefoot (France) on March 24, Aurelien Tchouameni said about Kylian Mbappe: "Spanish fans know about Kylian, but when they watch him every day, they can realize his greatness."

When posted to the media, Tchouameni's interview was spread as a confirmation of Mbappe's joining Real Madrid. Telefoot later had to delete the interview on its social media account X.

Previously, when asked about Mbappe's transfer on Sky Sports , Tchouameni remained secretive: "Honestly, at the moment, I don't care about it. Let's wait and see what he will do. Right now, he is still a PSG player. We will see what happens."

Mbappe himself does not want to announce his future yet, due to his respect for PSG and wanting to focus on the final months of the season. He has set the time to reveal his new club before Euro 2024, the tournament taking place from June 14 to July 14.

Mbappe's contract with PSG is only until the end of the 2023-2024 season. Tchouameni joined Real Madrid in 2022 for 88 million. He is a close teammate of Mbappe in the French national team. In the friendly match against Germany 0-2 on March 23, both players started.
