Dong Nai rectifies tourism and travel service activities

Director of Dong Nai Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism (DOCST) Le Thi Ngoc Loan said that the DOCST plans to organize inspections and strictly handle businesses that conduct tourism business activities in violation of regulations by the end of March 2025.

Recently, in the field of travel services, there are still some businesses operating in violation of the law such as: operating without a license from a competent authority, having their travel business license revoked but still advertising, selling and organizing tourism programs, doing business outside the scope of the license, not adding deposits as prescribed...

To rectify the above situation, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism has issued a document requesting travel businesses to strictly implement the regulations. Specifically, businesses that have not yet added a deposit must urgently make additional payments; businesses operating domestic or international travel businesses that do not have a travel service business license must complete procedures to apply for an operating license according to regulations. Without a license, they are not allowed to organize tourism programs; businesses that have announced the cessation of travel service business activities and have had their licenses revoked by competent authorities are not allowed to organize tourism programs.

The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism also reminded businesses to operate travel services within the scope of their licenses (domestic travel businesses are not allowed to operate international travel).
