On July 31, Mr. Le Quang Tri - Director of the Department of Education and Training of Dong Thap province - said that the unit has created a table to determine the needs of each school, and proposed an investment plan to upgrade 14 primary and secondary schools in the border area.
Through statistics on the needs of each school in the land border communes of Dong Thap province, there are 14 primary and secondary schools that need to invest in upgrading and expanding a total of more than 230 classrooms (regular classrooms and specialized classrooms).
Specifically: Nguyen Du Secondary School (Binh Phu commune, now Tan Hong commune); Dinh Ba Primary School (Tan Ho Co commune); Thong Binh Secondary School (Thong Binh commune, now Tan Thanh commune); Thuong Phuoc 1A Primary School, Thuong Phuoc 1B Primary School, Thuong Phuoc 1 Secondary School (Thuong Phuoc 1 commune, now Thuong Phuoc commune);
Thuong Thoi Hau A1 Primary School, Thuong Thoi Hau A Secondary School (Thuong Thoi Hau A commune, now Thuong Lac ward); Thuong Lac 1 Primary School, Thuong Lac Secondary School (Thuong Lac commune, now Thuong Lac ward); Binh Thanh 1 Primary School, Binh Thanh Primary School, Binh Thanh Secondary School (Binh Thanh commune, now Hong Ngu ward); Tan Hoi Secondary School (Tan Hoi commune, now Hong Ngu ward).
The total estimated cost is about 233 billion VND. Of which, the central budget supports 163 billion VND; the local budget is 70 billion VND.
