On April 19, the People's Committee of Hoan Kiem District announced a specific plan on the arrangement of wards to collect public opinions. According to this plan, Hoan Kiem is expected to have 2 basic administrative units including Hoan Kiem and Cua Nam.

Specifically, the Hoan Kiem administrative unit is expected to include the entire area and population of the wards: Hang Ma, Hang Bo, Hang Dao, Hang Bac, Hang Buom, Hang Gai, Ly Thai To (Hoan Kiem); most of the natural area and population of the wards: Dong Xuan, Trang Tien, Cua Dong, Hang Bong, Hang Trong (Hoan Kiem); part of the natural area and population of the wards: Cua Nam (Hoan Kiem), Dien Bien (Ba Dinh).

The basic administrative unit of Cua Nam is expected to include the entire area and population of the wards: Tran Hung Dao, Hang Bai, Phan Chu Trinh (Hoan Kiem); most of the natural area and population of Cua Nam ward (Hoan Kiem); part of the natural area and population of the wards: Hang Bong, Hang Trong, Trang Tien (Hoan Kiem); Pham Dinh Ho, Nguyen Du (Hai Ba Trung).

Particularly, Chuong Duong and Phuc Tan wards (Hoan Kiem district) are expected to merge with commune-level administrative units of other districts to form new commune-level administrative units.

Hai Ba Trung District

Currently, Hai Ba Trung district has 15 wards, including: Bach Dang, Bach Khoa, Bach Mai, Dong Nhan, Dong Tam, Le Dai Hanh, Minh Khai, Nguyen Du, Pham Dinh Ho, Pho Hue , Quynh Mai, Thanh Luong, Thanh Nhan, Truong Dinh, Vinh Tuy.

As planned, the district will establish 3 basic administrative units including: Hai Ba Trung; Bach Mai and Vinh Tuy.

Ba Dinh District

Currently, the administrative boundaries of Ba Dinh district include 13 wards. It is expected that 3 basic administrative units will be established: Ba Dinh ward, Ngoc Ha ward, Giang Vo ward on the basis of the area and population of 12 wards: Quan Thanh, Truc Bach, Dien Bien, Doi Can, Cong Vi, Lieu Giai, Vinh Phuc, Ngoc Ha, Thanh Cong, Giang Vo, Ngoc Khanh, Kim Ma.

For Phuc Xa ward, it is expected to be merged with commune-level administrative units of other districts to form a new commune-level administrative unit.

Hai Ba Trung District

Hai Ba Trung District currently has 15 wards including: Bach Dang, Bach Khoa, Bach Mai, Dong Nhan, Dong Tam, Le Dai Hanh, Minh Khai, Nguyen Du, Pham Dinh Ho, Pho Hue, Quynh Mai, Thanh Luong, Thanh Nhan, Truong Dinh, Vinh Tuy.

As planned, the district will establish 3 basic administrative units including: Hai Ba Trung basic administrative unit; Bach Mai basic administrative unit; Vinh Tuy basic administrative unit.

Dong Da District

Dong Da District currently has 17 wards: Van Mieu - Quoc Tu Giam; Phuong Lien - Trung Tu, Kham Thien, Kim Lien, Khuong Thuong, Thinh Quang, Lang Ha, O Cho Dua, Quang Trung, Trung Liet, Cat Linh, Hang Bot, Nam Dong, Phuong Mai, Tho Quan, Van Chuong, Lang Thuong.

It is expected that after the arrangement, there will be 5 basic administrative units, including: Dong Da, Lang, O Cho Dua, Kim Lien and Van Mieu - Quoc Tu Giam.

Cau Giay District

Currently, Cau Giay district has 8 wards including: Mai Dich, Dich Vong, Dich Vong Hau, Trung Hoa, Yen Hoa, Nghia Do, Nghia Tan and Quan Hoa.

According to the plan, after the arrangement, Cau Giay district is expected to have 3 new administrative units, including: Cau Giay 1 (Cau Giay), Cau Giay 2 (Nghia Do) and Cau Giay 3 (Yen Hoa).

The basic administrative unit of Cau Giay 1 (Cau Giay) is expected to include most of the natural area and population of the wards: Dich Vong, Dich Vong Hau (Cau Giay); part of the natural area and population of the wards: Quan Hoa, Nghia Tan, Yen Hoa (Cau Giay), My Dinh 1, My Dinh 2 (Nam Tu Liem).

The basic administrative unit of Cau Giay 2 (Nghia Do) is expected to include most of the natural area and population of the wards: Co Nhue 1 (Bac Tu Liem), Nghia Do, Nghia Tan, Quan Hoa (Cau Giay); part of the natural area and population of the wards: Xuan Tao (Bac Tu Liem), Xuan La (Tay Ho), Dich Vong, Dich Vong Hau, Mai Dich (Cau Giay).

Thanh Xuan District plans to arrange 11 wards into 3 basic administrative units, including Thanh Xuan, Khuong Dinh, and Phuong Liet.

Hoang Mai District

Currently, Hoang Mai district has 14 wards including Dinh Cong, Hoang Liet, Tuong Mai, Giap Bat, Yen So, Vinh Hung, Linh Nam, Dai Kim, Thinh Liet, Hoang Van Thu, Tan Mai, Thanh Tri, Tran Phu, Mai Dong.

It is expected to be arranged into 7 administrative units including Dinh Cong, Hoang Liet, Tuong Mai, Hoang Mai, Yen So, Vinh Hung and Linh Nam.

The basic administrative unit of Linh Nam includes most of the natural area and population of the wards: Linh Nam, Thanh Tri, Tran Phu, Yen So (Hoang Mai); part of the natural area and population of Thanh Luong ward (Hai Ba Trung).

Tay Ho District

Tay Ho basic administrative unit includes the entire area and population of the wards: Buoi (Tay Ho); most of the natural area and population of the wards: Thuy Khue, Xuan La, Quang An (Tay Ho); part of the natural area and population of the wards: Phu Thuong, Nhat Tan, Tu Lien, Yen Phu (Tay Ho); Nghia Do (Cau Giay).

Phu Thuong basic administrative unit includes most of the natural area and population of Phu Thuong ward (Tay Ho); part of the natural area and population of the wards: Xuan La (Tay Ho), Xuan Tao, Dong Ngac, Xuan Dinh (Bac Tu Liem).

Long Bien District

On the basis of 13 current administrative units, Long Bien District plans to establish 4 basic administrative units including:

Long Bien basic administrative unit: Natural area 19.15 km2; estimated population 77,335 people. The new basic administrative unit has administrative boundaries including: Most of the natural area and population of the wards: Phuc Dong, Long Bien, Thach Ban, Cu Khoi (Long Bien); part of the natural area and population of the wards: Bo De; Bat Trang commune (Gia Lam); part of the natural area of ​​Gia Thuy (Long Bien).

The basic administrative unit of Phuc Loi includes most of the natural area and population of the wards: Phuc Loi, Phuc Dong (Long Bien); part of the natural area and population of the wards: Viet Hung, Giang Bien, Thach Ban (Long Bien) and Co Bi commune (Gia Lam).

Bac Tu Liem District

Bac Tu Liem District currently has 13 commune-level administrative units including Co Nhue 1, Co Nhue 2, Duc Thang, Dong Ngac, Thuy Phuong, Lien Mac, Thuong Cat, Tay Tuu, Minh Khai, Phu Dien, Phuc Dien, Xuan Dinh, Xuan Tao.
