The number of tourists coming to Hue to experience tourism during the April 30 - May 1 holiday is expected to increase.

Specifically, the estimated number of international visitors to Hue is nearly 60,000, domestic visitors are over 240,000. Of which, the total number of overnight guests is estimated at nearly 100,000 (international visitors are nearly 30,000, domestic visitors are about 70,000). Total tourism revenue is estimated at over 600 billion VND; hotel room occupancy is estimated at over 96%.

On the occasion of April 30 - May 1, many key events and activities will be held: Hue - Culinary Capital Program taking place from April 29 - May 2 at Thuong Bac Park; Exhibition "Tourism space, cultural heritage, scenic spots and traditional handicraft products of Vietnam" taking place from April 27 - May 2, 2025 at Hue City Cultural - Cinema Center; "Rural market festival" program responding to National Tourism Year and Hue Festival 2025 at Thanh Toan Tile Bridge community tourism site (Thuy Thanh commune, Huong Thuy town) from April 30 - May 4 along with many other programs and activities.

Director of the Department of Tourism Tran Thi Hoai Tram said that in order to serve the people and tourists during the April 30 - May 1, 2025 holiday in a thoughtful and safe manner, the Hue tourism industry has proactively coordinated with relevant agencies to synchronously deploy many solutions and plans to stimulate tourism during the year, specifically: Strengthening the work of ensuring security and order, environmental sanitation, food hygiene and safety, controlling service prices, as well as organizing attractive entertainment activities... to meet the sightseeing and relaxation needs of the people and tourists.

In addition, to ensure safety and quality of services for tourists, the Department has requested tourism businesses and tourist areas/destinations in the area to carefully prepare for welcoming tourists during the April 30 - May 1 holiday, such as: Improving the quality of services, improving the quality of tourism products, preparing adequate and professional human resources and materials to be ready to welcome visitors to Hue. In particular, focusing on ensuring safety for tourists in terms of fire prevention, food safety and hygiene, transportation, information support, etc.

Many travel agencies in the area have also proactively conducted surveys and developed new tourism products to serve customers during the April 30 - May 1 holidays in particular and the summer in general, such as experience tours, heritage exploration tours, Tam Giang lagoon experience tours, nature trekking experiences in Bach Ma National Park, etc.

The number of visitors to Hue during the holidays will be very large, the risk of "rip-offs", increasing room and service prices, especially in food, transportation, spontaneous accommodation or self-managed tourist attractions... may occur. To control this situation, Hue tourism industry has implemented synchronous solutions, including: Deploying to tourism businesses on ensuring security, safety and service quality for serving tourists during the holidays at the unit in terms of human resources, price registration, public posting of prices and selling at the correct listed price; complying with regulations on protecting social order, ensuring security, safety, fire prevention, environmental sanitation...

The Tourism Industry coordinates with relevant units to conduct inter-sectoral inspections before and during the April 30 - May 1, 2025 holiday at tourism businesses (accommodation establishments, food and beverage services, entertainment, tourist attractions, tourist transport vehicles, etc.) to ensure security, safety, service quality, and prices.
