The family of Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Nam - former member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, former Commander of the Ho Chi Minh City Command, supported 400 million VND to build 2 cultural houses in An Thuan hamlet and An Hiep 1 hamlet, An Ninh Dong commune, Duc Hoa district, Long An province.
The An Thuan Hamlet Cultural House was renovated on the old foundation, repaired, painted, upgraded, and paved with stone. The Hoa Hiep 1 Hamlet Cultural House was newly built with an area of 36m2 , with a roof, tiled front yard, and common walkway.
At the inauguration of the two cultural houses, Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Nam's family also presented 20 gifts to disadvantaged students in the commune, each gift worth 1 million VND in cash.
On behalf of the district leaders, Standing Deputy Secretary, Chairman of the People's Council of Duc Hoa district - Vu Hong Hanh expressed gratitude to Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Nam and his family for their sentiments and practical contributions to the locality. She emphasized that the hamlet cultural house is not only a place for community activities but also a place to connect village and neighborhood sentiments , promoting the great national unity bloc.
