At the EICMA 2025 exhibition, Ducati officially introduced the new generation Hypermotard V2, featuring a series of impressive upgrades, especially the completely new engine block. The vehicle is equipped with an 890 cc V-twin engine - the type of engine that has proven its performance on the Panigale V2, Streetfighter V2, Multistrada V2 and Monster models.

This engine produces 120 horsepower at 10,750 rpm and 94 Nm of torque at 8,250 rpm, and is 6 kg lighter than the previous 937 cc Testastretta 11° engine. Ducati also removed the traditional Desmodromic valve system, increasing the valve inspection interval to 45,000 km and the oil change cycle to 15,000 km or two years, whichever comes first.
The Hypermotard V2 2026 offers four riding modes: Race, Sport, Road and Rain, with Rain limiting power to 95 horsepower. These modes are all deeply adjustable, combined with an ABS system with four flexible intervention levels.

In terms of design, the Hypermotard V2 is inspired by the original Hypermotard 1100, expressed through the sharp headlight and taillight clusters and the neat dual exhaust pipes placed under the rear of the vehicle. The vehicle uses a monocoque frame attached to the engine and the front, while the trellis subframe supports the entire rear body. The riding position still retains the typical "motard" quality with a sporty squatting position.
Standard equipment includes Ducati Quickshifter 2.0, six-axis IMU with Cornering ABS, Ducati Traction Control (DTC), Ducati Wheelie Control (DWC) and Engine Brake Control (EBC). Sachs steering damper is also fitted across the range.

The standard Hypermotard V2 uses Kayaba front forks and a rear monoshock with adjustable preload and rebound. Meanwhile, the Hypermotard V2 SP is favored with Ohlins NIX 30 front forks, STX 36 rear shock, lightweight 17-inch forged wheels, and the Ducati Power Launch (DPL) system for superior acceleration.

With important upgrades, the Hypermotard V2 2026 weighs only 180 kg on the standard version and 177 kg on the SP version, up to 13 kg lighter than the Hypermotard 950. The vehicle has a 12.5-liter fuel tank and a seat height of 880 mm.
