Six cars were involved in a chain-reaction collision while stopped at a red light on National Highway 1A.

On the morning of December 16th, a multi-vehicle collision occurred on National Highway 1A, at the Bim Son intersection in Bim Son ward, Thanh Hoa province, resulting in damage to six vehicles, including one passenger car that was severely deformed.

According to initial information, at around 7:00 AM on the same day, while vehicles were stopped at a red light on the Thanh Hoa – Hanoi direction at the Bim Son intersection with National Highway 1A, a tractor-trailer with a Thanh Hoa province license plate suddenly sped up from behind and slammed into the rear of a passenger car with license plate 36A-320.xx.

The front of the car was completely wrecked.

The powerful collision caused the passenger car to skid, subsequently hitting the rear of a parked truck with license plate 36H-165.xx. The truck was then pushed forward, crashing into a white passenger car with license plate 36K-227.xx before spinning sideways and colliding with a VinFast car stopped at a red light in the adjacent lane.

The accident left one car completely crushed.

Not stopping there, the white car, after being hit hard, continued to lunge forward, crashing into another car that was stopped right in front of the traffic light. The incident resulted in a chain reaction accident involving 6 vehicles, with many cars severely damaged.

Among the vehicles involved in the accident, the passenger car with license plate 36A-320.xx suffered serious damage to its front, rear, and entire driver's side. There were two people in the car at the time of the accident, and fortunately, neither was injured.

The truck sped up and crashed into a VinFast car that was stopped at a red light.

Immediately after receiving the report, the Quang Xuong Traffic Police Station, under the Traffic Police Department of Thanh Hoa Provincial Police, dispatched forces to the scene to manage and regulate traffic, and simultaneously coordinated with relevant units to conduct a scene investigation and determine the cause of the accident.
