According to investigation documents, at around 10:45 a.m. on April 24, in Chu Hoa commune, Viet Tri city, Phu Tho province, the Drug Crime Investigation Police Department (PC04) discovered and arrested Hoang Van Thu (born in 1977, residing in Tung Khe commune, Cam Khe district) for the act of "Illegal drug trafficking". The seized evidence was 0.83g of heroin.
Expanding the investigation, PC04 arrested and prosecuted two more related subjects, Phan Van Hoa (born in 1997) and Nguyen Dinh An (born in 1993), both residing in Cam Khe district.
Considering the case's particularly complicated nature, PC04 was assigned by the Phu Tho Provincial Police Department to preside over and coordinate with relevant units to fight and "dismantle" this criminal ring.
During the investigation, PC04 has arrested and prosecuted 12 subjects in many provinces and cities across the country; seized more than 20 heroin cakes (equivalent to 7.1 kg); 5.3 kg of ketamine; more than 257,700 pink pills (equivalent to 23.6 kg), along with many other types of synthetic drugs; over 1 billion VND in cash; 1 car and many other related objects, assets, and evidence.
