(Dan Tri) - The Hanoi - Hung Yen inter-provincial road has entered the final stages of completion, its grand scale is now clearly visible and has been opened to one-way traffic.

The Hanoi - Hung Yen inter-provincial route was upgraded and expanded in August 2021, with a total investment of nearly 2,900 billion VND. The starting point of the project is from the center of Van Giang district (Hung Yen), at the Van Giang roundabout, then connecting to provincial road 379.

This is the route that passes through many of the largest industrial parks in Hung Yen province such as: Khoai Chau Industrial Park, Yen My II, Pho Noi B Industrial Park, Thang Long II Industrial Park... and many urban areas on both sides of the road.

The 6-lane route connects Van Giang to Yen My intersection to join the Hanoi - Hai Phong and Phap Van - Cau Gie expressways, creating a traffic axis connecting throughout Hung Yen province. At the end of the route, where it intersects with the Hanoi - Hai Phong expressway and the 2 expressway connecting roads, the road is expanded to 14 lanes and a separate overpass.

The project has a scale of upgrading and expanding about 33km (existing road) to 6 lanes and is divided into two sections for construction. Of which, section one is 14.5km long from the roundabout of Van Giang district - National Highway 39A; section two is 18.5km long, from the intersection of National Highway 39A - Cau Gay (bordering Bac Ninh province).
